This'll make sense to you and RN's...
If you sing the last few words of the Diver Dan theme and then pick up with, It Came Upon a Midnight Clear it fits.

Everyone accuses Oasis of just being a Beatles rip off band, which is'nt true!

They also rip off TRex - listen to the intros to 'Get It On' and 'Cigarettes and Alcohol'

"The Central Scrutinizer" from Joe's Garage sounds just like "My Guitar Wants To Kill Your Mama" with different words.

And it should, because that's what it is... :P

Speaking of all things similar...somebody made the observation that a band sampled a rhythm from an old song but isn't it likely after 30 years someone is bound to come up with the same rhythm?
Anyhoo, every song by BTO :P .

Moody Blues - Gemini Dream/ ZZ Top - Sharp Dressed Man

There are refrences to the Close to the Edge title track peppered throughout all four sides of Tales From Topographic Oceans, its most noticable on the fourth side.

And.. I hate to admit it... but every time I hear the opening bassoon solo of Rite Of Spring, I think for a second that it's Amériques by Varèse.

Chinese songs all sound the same. Don't know how they tell 'em apart.

Not the same but the theme from the movie THE EXORCIST remainds me very much of BERLIOZ's DIES IRAE in the Vth movement of his Symphonie Fantastique.
