I for one am very happy with how GZ is doing her job.
Even when her wrath has come down on me I understand she has a job to do.
The fans that view Gail Zappa as some Witchfinder General are doing no service
whatsoever to protecting FZs legacy and moving the project/object forward.

When people die it is very hard to protect the intent of their life work.
Ocean Waves of distorted views take over from the original intent.
Gail is in the best position to protect that artistic integrity and I support her 100% on her difficult mission.

My suggestion is for all to rally behind Gail Zappa 100%
and say thank you very much, YES Thank you very much Gail Zappa.
With 40 projects in the works fans that BOYCOTT are Hanging Themselves.
Don't say I did not warn you.

Frank Zappa left the ZFT in Control of his Vaults and Artistic rights.
We the fans are not in control. We have a choice to use our eyes and ears or read it and weep.

I think there is simply no market for releases of the kind we got recently. So the 40-projects-in-the-works-plan should be (and probably is already) revised.

Hoopla, wrong thread!

Hmmm ... I think this is a bit on the emotional/sentimental side of things rather than the truth. Because it is her son, it is ok ... but it is NOT true to the music in the sense of the composer's design and ideas, since Dweezil is playing something that was done before.

Now, if we have a good section of material that is all Dweezil's, or the band's, then we could say that it would be "true to her husband's art" ...

So every music player out there is "true to the artist's art" or they would not be playing! But there is a massive difference, when we're talking being "experimental and try different things" ... which Dweezil is not doing in the ZPZ stuff.
