Speaking of "Honey Don't You Want a Man Like Me," I'm listening to Buffalo for the first time right now, and I can't believe how much I'm enjoying this song that I've heard 5 million times. It's actually different! Fun too!

Ugh, I hate it. It's the only Zappa song I can think of where the lyrics actually gross me out.

I could never understand why the Jazz Discharge Party Hats never went top 40.

Promiscuous, closely followed by Rhymin' Man?

I think someone else thought so, because there's a pretty smooth transition from When the Lies So Big to The Untouchables if you skip the two bad tracks.

The rest of BTHW is good, though!

The Cocaine Decisions on YCDTOS3 really bored me...until I got TMFU and I realised it could be even more boring.

Every single song on the Roxy DVD. Absolutely horrendous. Why would they release such a horrible collection of trash. Just a dreadful release.

Has Frank ever said there were any releases of his own that he didn't care for? I don't think he did.

Damn, depending on my mood, I think Zappa has released tons of crap that I wish I never heard. But the next day I end up kinda liking it...

P-R-O-M-I-S-C-U-O-U-S ! ! !

Btw, Scott Thunes has said that he should have had a writing credit on that one, because he created so much of the music, "as bad as it is".

http://idiotbastard.com/Interviews/ScottThunes.htm

What does that tell ya?

I may be in the minority here, but Stevie's Spanking is a song I often skip.

Zappa often used the 12 bar blues scheme, and in quite a few songs he really makes something great with it, but Chana In De Bushwop (sorry Diva, it's not you) is something I really can't swallow.

I can't listen to Broadway the Hard way at all...Yeah, there are one of two good tunes on there, but as a whole the album is weak!

I'm also not a huge fan of Stevie's Spanking...the riff is alright, but the HIGH Bobby Martin vocals are just grating!

I had a buddy that used to hit the forward arrow whenever The Torture Never Stops came on (no matter what version) I could never figure that one out because it was so SINISTER!

Bobby Martin bugs me in general. He's just such a BEEFCAKE you know? I feel like he's that guy at the community pool who looks at your 15 year old sister for just slightly to long- you know?
