Happy Birthday, Plook! Ya mean all the Nor Cal Z-forumers are all virgos except Kirk? Maybe that explains it.

Just kidding Kapt. :D

Today?
Today I logged onto the forum for the first time in about a week. I feel like I've been beaten with sticks and I'm determined to take the time to properly enjoy this head cold that I've been neglecting the last couple or three weeks.

The last couple or three weeks?
-Got the van fixed up with new tires etc for the long anticipated and all too short long weekend up north.
-Thoroughly enjoyed the long anticipated and all too short long weekend up north. (some pics to follow)
-Got the van fixed up with assorted filters, fluids, exhaust and (my favorite) a new water pump for the long dreaded emmisions test.
-Passed the long dreaded emmisions test.
-Removed, stripped, stained, varnished and installed way too much door trim.
-Spent the last month weaving a complex web of deceit, lies and misdirection around my wife's surprise birthday party (her 40th)
-Pulled off the surprise party with awesome timing and detail (everyone who knows me is still shaking their heads in wonder) and managed not to do a drunk and exhausted header off the deck.

Now I want food and tylenowl.

-Why isn't there a dragged out and stomped on emoticon? Bonny, how hard is it to mail soup? Mmmmm potato...

Well it would be feasible if I hadn't eaten it all... but if you want to make it yourself the Bonny way (without the mishaps):
Needed:
1 litre of broth. I used vegetable broth cubes.
400 grams of potatoes
A leek
200 grams of soup vegetables (your standard supermarket package)
Soup balls
Nutmeg

First, check the instructions of the soup vegetables and soup balls, and follow them straight.
Peel the potatoes, wash and dice them into tiny bits.
Cut up and wash the leek.
Prepare the broth and boil the taters and leek in it. When the potatoes are soft enough, grab your sieve, put the dice in it, take a big spoon, and push the potatoes through it.
Let broth boil for another ten minutes.
Add soup vegetables and balls whenever the instructions inquire. Spice up with plenty nutmeg.

Went to the local modern art museum. They had a great exposition on Lissitzky!

Took part in the World Record Jigsaw Making attempt today.

It was hilarious. The supermarket chain that organized it, had primarily targeted children in its announcements of the event. But when the jigsaws finally came in through the mail, they turned out to be waaay too difficult for kids, and the adults had a lot of problems with them too!

Anyway after being bent over for 45 minutes, I finished one of the puzzles, having done most of it myself. I acquired a Snickers, a bag of Maltesers, a slice of cake and a jigsaw diploma that says that I took part along with other kids at this attempt.

Today I wrote some bad poetry as an exercise to see if I still had it in me to write bad poetry.

I got an ultimatum! It makes it clear that I must, "Comply or say 'Goodbye'!"

I noticed the Obama thread has been locked...and all the posts by the person who started it (most of them, anyway...it looks like Mikey missed at least one alias) have discopeared!

Looks like "Clean-Up" time!

Not that I'll miss Batchain's shit, but you seem to be a little bit inconsequent in this case.
