Finally got a copy of Shut Up 'N Play Yer Guitar on vinyl. This is the only FZ LP I have on CBS records. It's really weird hearing all these songs at a slightly higher pitch from the CD, but the seller was nice enough to include the FZ Christmas card.

What cartridge are you running on that Thorens? I would give that Fisher some room to breath as it's obviously a Tube amp.

It's a Shure M97XE. I've been using that model for years.

This is the one I use too.
However, I wonder if using an elliptical stylus doesn't bring more inconvenients than advantages compared to a spherical stylus.

I actually haven't done much experimenting with cartridges. When I got serious about vinyl a few years ago, I did some research and gathered that the M97XE is generally considered the best thing you can get for under $200, and I've been very happy with it. I haven't had any tracking issues, and it sounds good to me. One of these days, I might get crazy and decide to buy something more expensive, but I'm not there yet.

How rare is the Guitar album on vinyl? I missed one relatively cheap on an auction and I few really bad for it...

If anyone is willing to sell their SUNPYG boxed set and/or the Guitar album, I am willing to buy...
