I was looking up Advance Romance lyrics the other day and I noticed just about all the lyric servers have this ..

Potato-head Bobby was a friend of mine

I used to listen to Bongo Fury over and over, and I heard

"Opened three of his eyes and the fool's still blind"
"Opened four of his eyes and the fool's still blind"
...

The "food stamp line" makes no sense at all .. even with the kind of sense Beefheart and Zappa made!!

What do you all think? I just can't get the food stamp line thing..

I've always heard food stamp line, and I believe that's what it is. I'm sure that it means something, but what, I dunno. Some people still think that "Manny de camper wants some white gas", but no, he wants white fish.

Apparently Bobby was in need of public assistance and potatoes can have many eyes so it's conceivable that he could have opened multiple eyes while he was waiting to get his food stamps. Makes perfect sense.

And I got to thinking....if that one doesn't make sense, a couple of the other songs on Bongo Fury don't either.
