Montana. Driving beat, good bass lines, cool lyrics, blistering guitar solo, funkadelicious background vocals, horns and vibes. It's just a great song ... the whole package,

Crazy Horses. Driving rhythm, great solo, fantastic lead vocal. And a message to boot! Might as well go ahead and close this thread.

Hey, Plook! I'll say "The Marriage of Heaven and Hell" from the same album. "Oops!..." is definitely in my top ten albums of all-time.

Hi,

I can list a few ... but I'm not sure that any of you have heard them ...

Can -- Bel Air

Amon Duul 2 -- Apocaliptyc Bore (and please play Scorpions song "Fly to the Rainbow" from the same album right after it!)

Ange -- Ego et Deus (Emile Jacotey)

Mike Oldfield -- Amorok

Gong - You (the two long cuts back to back)

Carmen - The Gypsies (3rd album) (the bass player went on to Jethro Tull until he passed away!)

PFM -- Opening cut to "The World Became the World"

Magma -- Khontarkhoz -- in its entirety

Too much of the other stuff is just a pop song by comparison ...

Moshkito,

"Bel Air" and "Kohntarkosz" are at the top or very near the top of my all-time favorites. In fact, the only ones on your list I don't know and love are the Oldfield track and the Carmen track. I have Ange's "Emile Jacotey" album, but never quite learned the track names, so I'll need to go back and see which one was "Ego et Deus".

Cool choice with Apocalyptic Bore (ADII) also - I've been playing the Vive La Trance album a lot lately. I'm personally hooked on "A Morning Excuse", which I'm convinced was ripped off by Bauhaus for "Bela Lugosi's Dead".

Shouldn't surprise you that I've been on ProgArchives as well (by a different name - I'm not a "regular"), and remember seeing you there in fact. Prog rock fans need to stick together.
