Just got back from Scotland. Had a powerful windstorm of 70-80 mph. Not a good time to go for a walk down the tree lined drive of the hotel, but I escaped unscathed.

Alot of T-cell,thunder bumbers going by,getting us wet off & on.Even had a few small tornados and with temps in the 60's-70's we're breaking cold day records right and left.Very cool, cloudy weather for this time of year in California.
It's still snowing at Lake Tahoe in June!?!

One of those mini Tornados touched down less than a mile from my house yesterday (the one that all the pictures were plastered on the news, the daughter Plook the younger and I were outside watching it form... :smoke:

Big storm on Monday knocked out power lines for 817,000 people in the Chicago and surrounding areas. (Chicagoland Area as they say on the news. Do they say that for other cities, New Yorkland area? Los Angelesland Area? Sounds weird.) Many have power back by now, but Miss Kitty and I are still without power. We spent the last 2 nights in the basement where its much cooler. Its too hot to sleep upstairs. Miss Kitty had the fold-a-bed and I had the cot.
I'm hearing that power should be back on today for us, but I guess I'll have to wait til work is over to see. We will probably have to throw away the entire contents of our Fridge and Freezer. :x

Fantastic weather here! Nice cool marine layer at night/early morning, burning off by 10:00 am,and no hotter than 78-85 degrees.I'm out tanning while arranging my deck into a Tortoise wonderland. In other words "Lightnin'"(my Tortoise) is getting new sand/dirt/rocks/edible shrubs/with small watering hole! He's real excited.....I think.

We broke the record: 20.5 hours of consecutive rain.
It's dry now. And sunny.

We're getting a lot of no rain. But it's been cooling off at night which makes the days more bearable.

We are near, but outside of the GTA or Greater Toronto Area. Toronto is also called the Big TO. Kitchener used to be called Berlin. Cambridge used to be called Preston (and sometimes still is). We are not far from London. And Kitchener (along with Cambridge, I think) is part of Waterloo Region or KW. That's all for now.

Oh yeah, and it's hot and dry. Any exposed grass is all brown and straw-like. The farmers are unhappy.

Hottest day, so far this year. Find a cloud shadow, and stay in it.
