another Joe's Hemmorrhage early 2011 (which may be one of the above)

8 months later and all we've had is one song.

No, no, no - you've got it all wrong. 15 dog months - not human months...

I wonder what her answer to "How did you figure the price scheme for your new found, unwrapped, old FZ vinyl albums" is gonna be? Something like "Thats what they go for on E-Bay". Maybe the ever popular, "How much is a Monet worth? How much would you pay for a Picasso"? The time is coming where FZ will be for the rich only. Those prices will cut out the middle class, not to mention the poor.Hell,I'm paying $100 bucks to see DZpZ open for Return to Forever IV.10-11 FZ songs tops.Thats 10 bucks a song. I think it's time to boycott the 2+ band shows at least until DZpZ becomes the headliner.

There are reasons I write and this is first to say thanks to all my kith and to all of those who are discovering FZ, have discovered FZ, and especially to those who are twice smitten and refuse to live without his music. However, I also must say I am disappointed not to see any questions regarding “issues” that are rabid on other sites – I would like to clear some of those brown clouds they are making. But nobody ever asks me about any of this – even by invitation. The They and all their Them cohorts just continue to lobby volleys of mad abuse in my direction because perhaps there is nothing about the truth they want to know. This is intended to be a place where any one could address anything and especially question the rumor-mongered mis/disinformation to see what I have to say about it. But apparently there is a lot of willingness to maintain the Big and little lies. And they do it in FZ’s name. Exactly unlike him, they have zero humor, zero curiosity, zero discretionary thinking capabilities and zero imagination and therefore zero real information or true knowledge. They are not beautiful. They are not fun. And they are not fans and certainly not friendlies. The Them is real and they practice in deliberate wrong thinking – exactly the kind of behavior that FZ so famously and humorously excoriated. So thank you also for your consideration. But will you help me? If they won’t ask, will you?

I don't understand this at all. Meaning I have no idea what you are talking about. My only response would be to say that I, and I assume the vast majority of others who visit the site, just want more releases. We don't care about anything else, unless of course that "anything else" is preventing more releases. We may disagree about what to release but it seems that's all we just want: more music. So maybe you, Gail, should ignore the "volleys of mad abuse". Rise above it. Ignore it. Just focus your attention and hard work on releasing more music. I truly appreciate all you do when it comes to keeping the music coming and I do not care about anything else.

Right. Which means you are responsible for the way things are with the ZFT.

Respectfully....You are an enabler.

Wadda ya gonna do? I live in a town where the concert tour is playing, the venue is fantastic,I can bike to it,and other Zappa friends get together before and after the event.I do believe Return to Forever IV is what pushed the price so high, having seen BB King and an opening act for $85 (orch.8th row) at same venue.
I don't feel so much as an enabler,as I feel like I'm getting sqeezed like I'm the only lime at a tequila fest. I usually go to all of DZpZ N.CA. shows. This time one show is all I can afford, and I'm pissed I'll miss the SF show because of exuburent prices!
If I save my money and don't go to the show, for four years,I'll be able to get a Joe's Garage vinyl box set.

Gail said they will have 100 releases by 2012 from the questions last time she answered. so that doesnt sound to promising since the 3 disc odeon was #99.

The ZFT should just:

1. preserve FZ's legacy in the best possible form and make it available to the public (for money)
2. meet their duty to document the life and work of FZ as detailed as possible and make it available to the public (for free)

#2 has been done by the public already via diverse websites. Why should someone ask then? Why is the ZFT complaining since their own site is an information desert.

Wouldn't it be for the other people and their sites, FZ would soon be completely forgotten.

Th.

Nah Thinman, the woods are full of incorrect Zappa information. The "definite" Zappa autobiography is that one by Miles, and he couldn't even get the good man's death day right.

I kind of wish she'd answered a question about vinyl releases
when i stood in line after the show to talk to Dweezil at the ZPZ '08 fall tour, i said
"please, please bring back the vinyl."
he said "well, vinyl is very expensive."
i could have launched into a thoughtful, well constructed argument, reminding him that everyone in the full house paid over $100 each to be there, and therefore his father's fans obviously have money to spend so why not allow them to spend it on their favorite music format, etc.
but alas, i had enjoyed multiple ales by that point, so there were to be no thoughtfully constructed arguments from me that night
i believe i smiled and thanked him 'for everything', then went back to the bar

Speaking of vinyl, I gave Gail the number to my father-in-law, STAN RICKER. He's free-lancing now, and could use the business.

Folks, as this is a Rance Muhammitz quote from 200 Motels: Could it be a 1970 / 71 Flo & Eddie release?

More likely, it will be "The Best of Theodore Bikel".
