Hey, guys. You should play the entire "We're only in it" album, man!!!
For me it's an authentic masterpiece in pop art, and it's right beside Sgt Peppers (Frank would kill me for this!) and The Piper at the Gates of Dawn... I can't stop hearing it and never could find someone playing it live!!
I know it takes a lot of work, guys... But you can do it!!!
Hear ya!!

Ok, ok....sorry.

fwiw....Joe's Garage was the first Zappa album I ever heard. I had both (I and II & III). I was in 9th grade. I had a social studies teacher that was into "older" Zappa. We did a borrow trade as he hadn't heard any of JG. He lent me Money, Hot Rats, and I think one other I can't recall, might have been Uncle Meat.

I fell in love with Money, and to this day, it's probably still my fav.

To the OP.....I was being a bit of twit, but most folks here have heard the album, and many feel the same way as I (and apparently you) do. Welcome aboard.

This is an album by Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention. It's the third studio production from Zappa.
Actually, in my opinion, this is the mother album of Joe's Garage, it's mostly where the ideas were taken from.
Listen to it, man!! It's a fucking masterpiece!!

Hear ya!!

It's the third album from Zappa and the Mothers... Zappa released the Lumpy Gravy in the same year, 1968 (what a yeas, huh?!), but it was released (after We're Only...) and it's a solo album. You know "We're Only in it for the Money" and "Lumpy Gravy" are kind of the same project from Zappa, a try of evoluting that times music. "Mother People" is all about that and has even a little part with a "Lumpy" song...

There's a compilation released by the Zappa Trust that's called "The Lumpy Money Project".

Hear ya!!

Let me explain something to You guys!!! I'm just saying I would love to see and hear a live version of "We're Only in it for the Money", played by the "Zappa Plays Zappa" band!!! They're a mini orchestra, like Zappa used to have and the album diserves all the attention, for it's a masterpiece!!!

That article really didn't go into much, like if he visited the Captain Kangaroo set with his father or exactly what drugs he took to achieve such great music.
