a friend over at IMWAN.com PM'd me as he knows I am an FZ fan (one of the only ones there)

"I saw Ray Davies in Philadelphia tonight.....it was a show with choir, doing live versions of the Choral Collection.

At the beginning of the choir set, Ray comes out and introduces the choir....
then individually introduces his band members.....
then says "and I'm Jimmy Carl Black, and I'm the Indian of the group."

Thought you might get a kick out of that."

Never thought of Ray Davies ever listening to FZ - that would have been an interesting duo, if only...

Ray and Frank both had songs about Plastic People. Plastic Man in Ray's case.

Dave Davies mentioned in his book he was a Zappa fan.

I read once online the Kinks played side one of Sheik Yerbouti over the PA before starting their show once.
