The above Dopesmoker by Sleep is easily in my Top 5 albums for SR. That said, I started this morning with another one of their albums: Sleep's Holy Mountain

No, its not as great as Dopesmoker, but its still pretty good. Could use a bit more low-end imo, but overall a good listen. Also has a bonus cover of Black Sabbath's Snowblind.

Listening to this stuff always makes me crave Electric Wizard, so I think now that this thread is here I'm gonna go through their whole catalog again. 1st stop... Come My Fanatics

Got the vinyl...but i haven't gotten around to listening to it yet!

Saw Earthless Saturday night at the Empty Bottle in Chicago. 3 opening bands, all of which were varying levels of not good. Earthless kicked ass though. Bought a couple of cds at the show.

Just got my tix for the Chicago show. As far as I know, this is their first show in Chicago since about 1999 at The Note. I ran sound for that show and am incredibly psyched that they are finally coming back!

You are correct. I would rate that album higher as well. I posted the debut for the uninitiated, since they hadn't been mentioned yet. Plus, they are one of those bands I actually discovered at the time of the first album.
