Oh it has always been my wish to own a PIPCO t-shirt but with the lack of them about, my girlfriend went one better.

She got a green t-shirt and a white t-shirt and got a seamstress to take off the collar and cuffs then sew them back on the other one to make up the correct combination of collars.

Then off it went to the printers to get the lettering on.

My Avatar pic is a bit small so I will post a bigger version once the forum allows me to post it (i.e. after 2 posts without URLs to images)...

What a fine girl!

Why don't you post a full blown version here?

I have a PIPCO T-Shirt, but what does it's wording actually mean?

I don't understand why you would want a PIPCO shirt. Sure FZ wore one on the Lumpy Gravy cover but, it's not really the most inventive shirt. Am I missing something here?

I think it's pretty snazzy looking, and I'd wear it.

I don't know anything about fashion, but I think it's cool...

How dare you? The PIPCO shirt is to be worshiped and a true original little league specimen is worth tens of thousands of dollahs...

My PIPCO t-shirt label reads...
100% cotton.
Made in USA.

I acquired it in 1996, given to me by Julianne Regans
tour manager (while with her the on the MICE tour UK).

Worth much?

Fuck that "Worn Free" place. What a ripoff. I would never give them $40 for a shirt, and I like that Hot Rats one too.

They actually sell a plain blue t-shirt with no print, because Jim Morrison wore one. :o You can buy the same fucking shirt made by Hanes or Fruit Of The Loom at Walmart for $3. Unreal.

The only people who wear/buy those "Worn Free" shirts are celebrity/Hollywood douches who want to look hip when they're on some talk show or out in public.

Wrong. I'm a non-celebrity douche who probably won't look hip whatever shirt I wear, and the chances of ending up on a talk show are pretty slim too. :)

I wanted the thing to see if anyone on the street would recognize it. It would have been my $40 social experiment.

In any event, it seems their customer service sucks anyway because I put in an order on 12/20 and the credit card never got charged and never heard a thing from 'em, so WTF anyway, right?

I am thinking about selling on my Pipco shirt, a Them or Us tour cut off
shirt and a 1982 Ship Arriving low grade scarf and well worn t-shirt.

Only because they just sit in my cupboard.

Ive been eyeing the RENTAL shirt for a while, but then thought no one would know why the fuck I bought it (plus it would be a men's fit)
*I'm a lady* so won't put myself through the hassle right now with this on-line ordering shenanigans.

That's the very reason why I want a Pipco shirt. Because, unless you were a Zappa person who had a certain amount of familiarity with him, you wouldn't know what it was about. It's so dada. I have two candidates for a Pipco shirt in my closet. They are baseball shirts in two colors. Not the same colors as on Lumpy Gravy and long sleeved, but wtf. Now I just have to find a tshirt shop to put the letters on. The one in the mall doesn't, I think there is one in a neighboring town that will. Once I make up my mind it will be done. he he he. I been procrastinating over this for a while...

Lets escalate this ... Where is that original PIPCO shirt FZ wore ... ?

Perhaps there is a closet in the Zappa Family
Laurel Canyon home where the original FZ garments
hang out?

Should a webcam be installed by the Rt Hon Gail Zappa
in said hypothetical wardrobe , thereby allowing us to
view such artifacts?

Would you rather see the original, or wear a copy?

And if we are going to get serious, what would
it take for a fan like myself to hold and drool over the
original Roxy tapes?

I'll bet Mr. Nice Guy is a vegetarian too.

Just a hunch.
