Bwahaha - just heard the Trendy moment in the Rockline broadcast.
Nothing to be proud of there. You created an "awkward moment" on the show and were quickly "escorted" off-the-air: congrats!

PenguinInBondage is as clueless as so many that have little to no vision on the next Zappa Project Download Series, but could it be CD? I have given clues to that for a long time and I don't see anyone here expanding on that concept all that much, now it continues, on what Gail brought up in the show, it was all a gracious statement that she even mentioned it. A typical response to my previous points on a new project series, pointedly reiterated mentioning of a new series on more than one occasion, is a typical Jayp STFU or some other large scale negative pootage from a cackling hen brigade.
Clearly so many of the cackling hens on this forum poot large doses of negativity towards the ZFT and my support. I have never stood for any of the extreme negativity since day one of this website. I will always support the ZFT and the more I hear the cackling hens the more the divide between the so called negative fans and myself gets. When the new Vault Series gets released I am sure the cackling hens will be ready. As I have said time and time again, my expectations are from a Euro 73' show, this show will help connect the dots of the "Elsewhere" and but also the Roxy Soundrack, the DVD up to KCETV... and that is only one little part of the new project series. Imagine if you will this one 73" Euro Show being one of many straight from tape, transferred and ready for download. The Knight In Shinning Armor to your Emotional Rescue.
But on point with ROCkLINE, It was my choice to end the phone after I had asked my question and briefly interjected of the the Hootenanny Concept in the persona of that Really Little Voice from NYC. The negative folks of this forum are going to spin doctor this into whatever they want to believe. I stand in support of the concept and Dweezil Zappa was honorable in his participation
Bob Coburn - Bob Coburn
Dweezil Zappa - Dweezil Zappa
Really Little Voice in NYC - Gary Titone
BC ....The most complex yet enjoyable music that anyone's ever composed over the years. As we shall hear a little more tonight. Ah, talk to us Toll Free 1-800-344-Rock is your number. We'll talk to Gary in NYC Right now. What's up Gary?(Gary introduces himself as Really Little Voice)
RLV Hi, It's that "Really Little Voice" in NYC and I'm wondering If We Can Have A Hootenanny?
DZ " A Hootenenny?"
BC (laughter) That goes back a ways.
DZ (laughter) Sure Why Not?
BC (laughter) Yeah! Why Not, No Rules.
What would you like to ask everybody tonight?Being that I already had asked the question, one of which I thoroughly discussed with BC before going on air, that being "I'm Wondering If We Can Have A Hootenanny? there was no need for BC to immediately ask what my question was. I will leave it simple for now, but I already asked my question and I followed up my question with the Real Little Voice in NYC persona, it's all interjection on the Hootenanny! concept . I'll interject more at the end of the transcript.
RLV "Nifty, Spiffy, Boss and Tough. Sure of That and Got Enough?
DZ WHAT'S UP MR. TITONE?(laughter)
BC Allright, Who is this? This is someone you know, obviously.
DZ YES, Ah MR. GARY TITONE , Long Time Listener, First Time Caller?(laughter)
BC (Repeated Laughter...)Where have I heard that before?
Thanks for the call Gary.(Repeated Laughter...) He was able to slip through.
I want to remain polite and positive towards Bob Coburn,, I am very supportive of his efforts but by him quickly asking what my (additional) question was he left little room for me to immediately expand on the concept without it seeming out of context. It was already granted that we could have a Hootenanny so I rolled in the Hootenanny mode as that Really Little Voice in NYC. There was no need for BC to interject and ask what I wanted to ask everybody...? but that is all O.K. I went ahead as planned. To set the tone on my side of the phone line there are three points I want to add.
1) On my side of the line it was late at night, my two daughters and wife were sleeping. I wanted to keep the dialog short. Just getting through the screening was not easy to do without waking the household up and I was talking as low as I could. Bob was very happy to have me on the show and we spoke for several minutes before going live. To expand the context here in my home. We all live on one floor here. Speaking in the persona of that "Really Little Voice from NYC" enabled me to ask a question and interject a concept in a very short time-frame without waking up my family and getting deep into Conceptual Continuity.
2) The concept of that "Really Litttle Voice" has layered Conceptual Continuity. Seek the path to The Lumpy Money/ Project Object track "Really Little Voice.
3) If all have done their research it should be clear that the Hootenanny!/Cheer-leading was a simple concept, that being To Root For The Home Team, that being Dweezil Zappa, Gail Zappa & Joe Travers.
I had spoke to Bob Coburn at length before going live. He wanted me to get more involved and ask more questions. I would gladly have asked Dweezil to discuss his Orchestral Project. I would gladly have asked Gail about something I have been pondering for a long time , that being her expanding ZODD with a new project series focusing on Live Shows, but no worries, Hakuna Matata, Gail did mention a new Project Series at the end of the show. I gladly would have asked Joe Travers to connect all the dots from DIVAN to One Size Fits All SOFA & YCDTOSA Vol 1 Yellow Snow. Joe Travers would have known how to do that. Joe not only knows about the Zircons but should well understand FZs short and simple poetry, that of LeFrak City in the two mentioned projects. I have to wonder how many fans decades later are clueless about that. So many live in a garden of cackling hens, extreme negativity.
As I have have pointed out I wanted to keep it short and sweet and let things run, the "Hootenanny" Live On Rockline? just as sure as the composers work is complex and difficult to grasp, sometimes the silly fun nature of a call in, even when it should be simple, short and sweet, the so called good fun could take some dilated conscious effort to grasp the conceptual continuity of it all.
Rooting for the home team with a Hootenanny! , letting the rest of the program roll, from my perspective all of which is part of one big Hootenanny! It's all good!
For far too long Radio has placed levers on the composers work. I find it amazing that Bob Coburn not only had the HOME Team on but gave lots of airplay to Carnegie Hall. The fact that they allowed the Hootenany!, that is quite special. It's obvious Dweezil Zappa was very positive about Mr. Titone and the whole Hootenany concept.
From my observance some fans here at Zappa.com and DZW are ignorant to the fun nature of it's positive effect. Some continue to go down the road of harassment where the cackling hens overrun positive N'Lightenment that is presented in a good fun nature, they exist in a domain of extreme negative pootage. They spin doctor extreme childhood school yard games towards my intent.
Sure of that! It's clear some fans Got Enough!, The cackling hens? On the other hand some may never have the positive energy to cheer for The HOME TEAM.
I continue to view Dweezil's contributions to the Hootenanny and me as an individual as positive reinforcements.
