Yesterday we had Duck pate and Borsin cheese, ham with apricot glaze, scalloped potatoes, peas with pearl onions and tirimisu.

Today I had coffee with Bailey's Irish cream in it and a copy of Frank Zappa The Hard Way, thanks to Doug.

Merry Crimble, Happy Youall, Fleaz Navidad and a Chappy Chanukkah!

I'm glad I'm older now and would not resort to using what is an obvious set up line. That would be childish.

Ain't that a revoltin' developement!

Had to check what quinoa is but boy, lentil soup with carrots in is a stonker. Particularly when you only put the carrots in for the last 5 minutes and they are still nice and crunchy.

I'm going to be baking cinnamon swirls again this Sunday, it's become a weekly thing this year.

Roll a sheet of Jus-Rol puff pastry into an A4-ish size rectangle.
Spread it with a generous layer of butter
Dust the hell out of it with cinnamon
Sprinkle it with raisins
Roll it up, wrap it in clingfilm and stick it in the fridge for an hour

Heat a fan oven to 180 degrees

Take the roll out of the fridge and chuck away the clingfilm (or reuse if you are Trendmonger)
Slice the roll into 1cm swirls and lay on a baking tray (you will need 2)
Brush with eggwash (hate that word)
Bake for about 18-20 mins

Whilst these are baking add about 200mls of water to a saucepan and a load of caster sugar and heat to boiling point. Allow to cool slightly

Place the swirls on a cooling tray and brush with the sugar mix

Eat them all and look forward to next Sunday

This is more of an echo as I got sidetracked when I originally intended to post this.
