I would suffice it to say that everyone on this board could list hundreds of bands they don't care for and hundreds of bands that they dig. (I just don't recall anyone requesting a list of all of the artists you don't care for.)
I can find merit in virtually all of the artists you listed even if I might not care for them. Spread positivity, it looks better on you than the alternative.

I caved in and ordered it a few days ago. I noticed the shipping price went up another buck from when this was first announced, total cost - $27.49 now. The way I look at it, I could have blown alot of money on vinyl of CDs I already have, today being RSD. I chose not to, and went with BCP instead. It's a must-have and I'm sick of waiting to see if it will be sold elsewhere at lower cost.

BCP is worth at least two 14 dollar ceedees of lesser creativity so it is money well spent.

This is a handy formula to use whenever one is annoyed by higher end prices. It works for me.

Still can't get enough of the title track.
Who or what is making all of the low mufled wheezing sounds? They sound really groovy and chug the song along just nicely. Is it Vliet making breathing sounds through the hamonica?
It reminds me very much of a similar effect in another song (probably not a Beefheart song) but I can't think what that is at the moment

Mayall gets a similar sound out of a harp on Turning Point.

The harp sounds on this version of the track are amazing, and the synth - John Thomas' deep fills sound like vampire bats attacking.

Been listening to this alot this past week. Excellent long overdue release. Worth the price. Sound is amazing compared to the shitty boots. Packaging is indeed great, but why the fuck won't the booklet slip back in nicely?
Bonus tracks are cool. Candle Mambo is a neat track, but I understand why it was nixed from the album, a little out of place. Would like to see an update on the Hoboism track mystery. Who the hell is playing on this, and where is the original Beefheart/Walley take?
If it surfaces, that would make a cool Record Store Day release next year, since it was originally intended as a 7".

For those unaware, the itunes issue of the record has a different version of Hobo-ism than the cd. And yes, one can download just that track, at least the last time I looked.

Just noticed that this is not available from the BS store anymore. Anyone else order this lately? If it's OOP, it would surprise me, because you can still buy every other ZFT release going back to CPIII.

I don't see it and also don't see the Zappa Hammersmith Odeon release. Going to guess both are out of stock at the moment. However, for some reason they list Philly 76 (a release that must be a high seller since it seemed to disappear often for a while there) with a "backorder" icon. Maybe someday they'll do that with every release if it goes out of stock.

Is there a release date for the backorder icon?

I ordered it recently, got it a couple of weeks ago. Maybe it was the last one?
