I've heard the following Zappa CDs are being reissued June 26, 2012. Does anyone have any information about them yet? Will they be any different than the Rykodisc versions?

Absolutely Free (1967)
Apostrophe (‘) (1974)
Bongo Fury (1975)
Chunga’s Revenge (1970)
Cruising With Ruben & The Jets (1968)
Fillmore East – June 1971 (1971)
Freak Out! (1966)
Hot Rats (1969)
Just Another Band From LA (1971)
Lumpy Gravy (1967)
One Size Fits All (1975)
Over-Nite Sensation (1973)
Roxy & Elsewhere (1974)
The Grand Wazoo (1972)
Waka/Jawaka (1972)
Weasels Ripped My Flesh (1970)
We’re Only In It For The Money (1968)
Zoot Allures (1976)

If they have no extra material, I can't afford to merely buy another set of music I already have on vinyl and CD.

Good to have titles in print to spread the legend, though...

This is great. I have a few CDs that I've scratched or lost, so I can replace them. How about the rest??

Will you buy another copy if this one has Willie The Pimp part II?

It would be cool if they did use the original vinyl masters. Notice that the first round are all single CD titles.

We will all have to wait for Trendys advise on the collectability of these releases.

A post from the Trendmonster is long overdue. He finally broke a three month silence at DZW, so prepare yourselves for massive oral diarrhetic dumpage (and Gailspeak).

It looks like we can add Uncle Meat (1969) to that list of reissues.

I'm pretty excited by this. Hopefully there will be some new bits and pieces with em. Since I have most of these already.. I'd only get my really essential listening ones... i.e Roxy, In it for the money, Zoot, Rats, Apostrophe, over nite, one size.

I have a strong feeling these won't be physical CDs, but downloads. What label in their right mind would reissue 60+ albums on CD again in 2012? Ryko allegedly lost money on the whole '95 reissue series, and that was over 15 yrs ago. You'd be finding press releases if there was an outside label ready to roll with this. As much as I still love CDs, I realize they're a dying medium, and most people want their freaking downloads. I'm betting ZFT is finally joining the 21st century.

I'd love to see more 180 gr vinyls of original mixes, like they did w/ Hot Rats. I'd probably buy most of the early albums if that was the case.
