It occurred to me last night that the reason I'll probably never see the Roxy video before I die (and certainly not after) is because someone at the ZFT holds a grudge against Napoleon.

Ooh - scary thought (but I see where you could come up with that)

Absolutely! But looking back at the fallout with Lagunitas, I could visualize it at least....

I saw the Grandmothers last Night at Infinity Hall in Norfolk CT. Arrived late for the extra meet and greet. Shook Don's hand and talked to Nappy a bit. A very friendly and warm engaging man. He told me he works out for THREE HOURS A DAY and enjoys playing basketball. I wish I could have recognized Tom Fowler before they went onstage! Would have liked to met him, too.

Nappy said there's no issues or concerns with the ZFT that he can see. Well, good then. It was awesome to see three former Mothers performing. Their drummer and lead guitarist were both excellent, also. If you gave the guitarist the right hair do, he could pass for a reincarnated Frank! The show was tight and professional. They were all smoking players!

Oh, Nappy conned a girl to go on stage for a dance contest and it was a ruse for her boyfriend to propose to her! What a wonderful thing to do.

Nappy and Don both complimented me on my GW Bush "Worst President Ever" tee shirt I got from bartcop.com

Some more great info destined for moderator approval oblivion:

Nappy said that if they can build momentum in the ?USA, maybe they could get George and Ruth (and Artie Tripp or somebody else?) at some of the upcoming shows!

Man, I hope they come back to Connecticut when they do!

I dont know about Dweezil if he understand Frank music, but for sure he put alot of work to learn this stuff & i am very proud of what he did so far. For NMB i have seen a couple of videos of him in ZPZ & he was singing out of tune, maybe he had bad sound stage & couldnt hear his voice.

may 10th soon i hope its a good one 8)

Singing out of tune? Yeah, I'd definitely say if you heard that, that he wasn't able to hear his voice or something because correct pitch has never been a problem for NMB. He's a phenom singer/performer/woodwind player... Take a look/listen at the ZPZ DVD sometime.

Absolutely not, that's ridiculous to think that this in any way would hold up the Roxy DVD. Maybe they'll just put his name in very small letters in the credits, or make sure his mug isn't on the DVD artwork  .
Bottom line is NMB was just a sideman who sang in this lineup.

I understand that and it's clear you understand that. Hopefully *everyone* can agree with that.
You're more than likely right but there have been instances (like the Lagunitas deal I brought up), etc. that have caused spiteful abolishments in the past.
And I keep thinking that we're "jinxing" the thing by always referring to it as the Roxy DVD..... if we're gonna dream, let's dream big: the Roxy Bluray! 8)

Yup, the beating of a horse that has already perished.

BTW - I caught the Grand Mothers in Chicago and they were fucking fantastic! I've seen a *lot* of FZ-tribute shows and this one would make the top 3! If they come to your neck of the woods, I would highly recommend it!
