Wasn't that Captain Pike (Veena in "the Menagarie")? But you're right - she always turned up in the closing titles...

Nice to hear from your trip. There is nothing better than being free, with no Zappa cynicism here, and being able to go from place to place, seeing places, seeing new faces and meeting people whenever you feel like it. I wish I could have seen that eclipse. The west coast really must be a magical place in the US.

Here, a a litre (L) of reasonable quality gas can cost around U$ 1,50

1 litre = 0.264172052 US gallons

kiirk asked the chamber of commerce how to get to haight street, then he smoked an awful lot of dope and wandered around barefoot with a psychedelic gleam in his eye at all times loving everyone as the police kicked the shit out of him on fillmore street ... he slept on owsley's vapor room floor & got the crabs, but didn't care

A house of ill repute I hope.Something along the lines and style of old Sally Sanfords place in North Beach.Yowser! Her place was so popular they moved her to Sausalito, were she became Mayor. Actually the closest and quickest is fine by me at this juncture on Kapt Kiirks beachin' trekk triip....standing on the lower Haight, stoned not straight, waiting for some little sweet thang to say high! Can it be happening in the Mission Position District instead of here? :D

(s.o-seems like old times so I smoke two more)

We've almost closed the gap on gas price.

We're paying about US$5.70 per US gallon over here as well. They're paying US$8.40 in the UK!!?? Even if it gets to $4.00 in the US, americans should shut the fuck up about how expensive it is and speak up as to why they get it so cheap.
