Hi,

I would say that the 2 screams that stand out the most for me, that actually mean something ... would be Jim Morrison and Roger Daltrey.

Possibly the one person that has screamed and screamed and still sings and screams, after 40 or 50 albums, would be Peter Hamill, but the likelihood is that most folks here have never heard of him, because he does not do top ten! ... but one day you might put on "Silent Corner, Empty Stage" and see if you can sit through it for the whole album.

I think too many of these folks listed here, it was more show than it was any go whatsoever. Most of the material is not even worth the discussion. Iggy on stage 35 years ago at the Whiskey a Go Go looked stupid and like an idiot child complaining about his undies, after we heard Babe Ruth's Janita Haan do her thing.

Yeah... I never quite "believed" Daltrey's yell at the end of "Won't Get Fooled Again", even though I like the song...

My favorite screamer is Maynard James Keenan of Tool, but my favorite screams come from Mark Kozelek of Red House Painters and Sun Kil Moon:

Screaming starts around the 5:50 mark -- blood-curdling.

No, he meant the "best" scream.
Me, I love Richard O'Brien's voice taking off in the Time Warp.

Screaming in music is so lame....who REALLY likes it?

"Yoko Ono, the queen of scream..." however....this is most likely the truth
