i don't know if this has been discussed. but i was just watching the special features on Apocalypse Now Redux and i saw that Don Preston played the synth and moog for the soundtrack.

i had never heard of this, and his wikipedia doesn't even really mention it. i figured this would be a big deal?

Bruce Fowler has done a lot of music for film too. Probably very well compensated but not as sexy as being a rock star I guess.

I've known about this for a while now and if you search on the internet Don mentions it in some detail in an interview that has been put up onto a website.
I'm a bit too busy at work to find it now but it is out there - maybe from the early 1990's.

Walter Murch talks about the sound here, and how they used synthesizers to recreate some of the sounds of the choppers. There were more people on synthesizers, but Don could have been involved in some of the eerie chopper sounds in the beginning.

Ok,I meant Bobby Harris#2 . The one who toured with Etta James and was married to Cybill Shepard. He has an IQ of genius and had taught himself to play all the brass instraments in music class by the end of grammer school.
That one.

Your repeating yourself.I'm only talking about Bobby Harris. So I can't be wrong.WIKI,Google,Cybil Shepard or whatever it is you do in Wales to get your answers and she was married to Bobby Harris,'90-'95,a Frank Zappa alumni.Stacks of facts in there for your perusal. He still works in the music biz and has writtin the score for many a TV show/movie.

That is all.I'm not playing "guess what's in cleons head today" ok! :|

Cybill Shepherd was married to Robert Harris? Maybe you ARE wrong, Kap'n. My google, wikipedia and whatever says it was Bobby Martin.

Cybill Shepherd was married to Robert Harris? Maybe you ARE wrong, Kap'n. My google, wikipedia and whatever says it was Bobby Martin.

Scroll back.I tryed to tell him it was Bobby Martin, but noooooo,so I asked him if it was Bobby Harris.I guess cleon believes no member of FZ's band ever married Cybil Shepard.

Trying to communicate with cleon is like hitting your head with a hammer. It feels good when you stop!
I am right it is Bobby Martin.cleon says no.Ok cleon how about Bobby Harris.Again no.You can't be right with cleon, but we knew that going in.I knew it was BM and not BH! He seems to think neither of them.(he probably doesn't know who Cybil Shepard is)
You are right cal it is BM,like I said before,I just let cleon mix me up or it was the two Bobby Harris' that did it.Sorry if I've confused anyone,it was Bobby Martin that was married to Cybil Shepard, not Bobby Harris #1 or #2.

Your right, you just implied it.Technically you did not say those exact words, but the meaning is the same. Can you tell the difference?
Your english language skills are tedious at best.I think you like to be missinterpited just so you can call everyone else dumb, stupid etc..Sad way to inflate your ego and build up your confidence as a man or do we just call you Nancy.(in welch thats means nonce lover)

May you wake up with your twat in Roy Estradas enormous mouth!
