You're right man I can't  I just thought it would be a good exercise to see if I could convince anyone  The truth is I've only been listening to 2Pac for about a year at the most and while I thoroughly enjoy his music, I really don't compare him to Zappa in any way. Not even the way I argued my points on haha.

Got an interesting thread out of it though

I stand by all the stuff I said about 2Pac though, I do think he was a very talented guy. But not comparable with Zappa in any way shape or form.

Not so fast there-- their shape and form are comparable; "The headbone connect from ya neckbone..."

maybe I'm not a rap/hiphop expert like some of us but...much more than 2PAC, this album is something approaching Zappa's concepts IMO...what you think?

I smell a crossover between this topic and Worst Album Cover topic.

I almost understand this.....

Could it be FZ was a fan of George Clinton. George wants to use part or all of I'm The Slime. But GZ and problems with copyrights prevent this. Is that what you mean stride?
Interpeter needed. :?

In the book For The Record-An Oral History of Parliament/Funkadelic (http://www.amazon.com/George-Clinton-P- ... 0380793784) Gary Shider or somebody said that Zappa wanted to have Glen Goins sing on his album. Goins declined.

George Clinton. No doubt about it. Just a little bit more funky and on acid.

Parliament/Funkadelic has all sorts of conceptual continuity.
