Wind up Workin' in a Gas Station!

Seriously - this song is so punky (at least the verse sections). Of course - very well performed, but a punk core to it:

I don't know if this counts because it's actually a '50's rockabilly tune, but I always got off on Brand New Cadillac on London Calling by the Clash.

I agree with the comments about the Stranglers - best punk era band but they transcended that genre.

As for a punk rock ditty that still does it for me, how 'bout the Diodes 'Tired of Waking Up Tired'

I say this no hint of irony even though the song itself is ironic...

It's a blimp, Frank!

I think 1988 Aktivator (or whatever it's called) is a more punk Hillage tune

IMO that song sucks so bad, I almost puke when I hear it on the radio in my car. And I'm a fan of the Clash!

I like it, though it's a bit slow for punk, surely?
How about "Too Drunk to Fuck" by the Dead Kennedys, or "I Like Short Songs" by the same?

Any of the first six songs on In God We Trust by the Dead Kennedys.
