i've been offered a ticket to see ian anderson at the njpac in october...6th row center seats, playing thick as a brick, and taab II. i just have to decide if i want to fork over $110 for the ticket.

Yeah, I'd say it'd be well worth it to see him as well but with the $110, I can see the reservation. Tough call.... what's with the ridiculous ticket price?

that's the face value price. i've seen tull many times over the years, but not since the mid-90's, and never taab in it's entirety, so it's very tempting. as is the $120 for the larks' tongues box! but i've got two kids in college...they suck the $ out of me like an industrial vacuum cleaner.

i'll prob go for it.

I'll have to go check the details on that Larks' set. What does it come with an actual tongue?
Also, that huge Gabriel So box that came out!

Went to see Fischer's Flicker on Saturday. Great rockin' show! Got to meet PenguinInBondage who has a fine selection of Tommy Mars sounds and eyewear! Here are some pix from the camera on my phone.

Took me a hot minute (or thousands) but I finally edited together a live clip from the show:

Thanks man! I tried to throw something together that would demonstrate to those that haven't seen the live show how it incorporates the videos I made into the show itself...

Some of the songs played in no particular order: Camarillo Brillo, Dirty Love, I'm the Slime, Titties and Beer, Pygmy Twilite, More Trouble Every Day, Pound for a Brown, King Kong, Zoot Allures, Let's Move to Cleveland, Chunga's Revenge, Peaches En Regalia, Cosmik Debris, Carolina Hard Core Ecstasy, Muffin Man, Blessed Relief, Bamboozled by Love, Outside Now. Just Ike. No other alums. Instrumentation was 3 guitars (counting Ike), bass, drums, keyboards, one guy who just added some vocals on some tunes and a young guy that came out a few times to add trumpet and saxophone. The drummer cut one of his fingers and was bleeding all over the place for the last few tunes. The local guys did a good job. Ike said he's going to come back to Chico and do it again. I also saw on a facebook posting that the Pojama People are gearing up for a West Coast Tour and it hinted that they might get together with the Chico band for a big "extravaganza".

Last week Mrs. Flycoon and I saw Chick Corea, Stanley Clarke and Jack DeJohnette at a local theater. Just the three of them; all acoustic.

It was fucking amazing...
