Haven't even heard of them. Thanks, I'll have to have a look-see.

Still haven't seen them. Thankskilling looks possibly worth a peek, but Birdemic...probably not.

I liked that the alien missiles looked just like the markers used in the Battleship game!

It was over the top, but fun, worth the $2.99 rental fee... :smoke:

I wouldn't blame you. I thought Thankskilling was well done for what it was.

One of the best movies of the oughts.

"First, take a big step back, and literally FUCK YOUR OWN FACE!"

I chuckle uncontrollably whenever I hear that.

I bought it because I finally bought a Blu-Ray player. It was one of the movies listed in a "Top 10 Best Looking Blu-Ray Releases", and I hadn't seen it it yet. I watched without reading the disc cover, so I was about about 45 minutes into the movie before I realised why the older black dude looked so familiar. Feckin' Iron Man!. I didn't recognise Tom Cruise at all...until I read the end credits.

Now, onto another movie from the list. Another one I didn't see at the show, or get on DVD...

State Fair--1945 Nice, old-fashioned fun.

Watching part of Carousel right now, too late to get into it too much. Gordon MacRae and Shirley Jones sho' can carry a tune.

There's another version of State Fair that my mother used to really love, with Pat Boone. I thought it sucked.
