Some titles on Bongo Fury have been marked wrong:

Sam With A Showing Scalp Flat Top should be marked with an asterisk as being live.
200 Years Old shouldn't have the asterisk.

___

On Chunga' Revenge the live recording information for The Nancy And Mary Music is missing.

___

Weasels Ripped My Flesh: In the booklet it says Didja Get Any Onya? 3:4 instead of 3:44

In Sheik Yerbouti all instances of the consecutive letters "im" in the lyrics are replaced with "I'm." So they show "hI'm" rather than "him," "sometI'mes" rather than "sometimes" and so forth.

Didn't want to start a new thread, but of the new ones I have secured, I found only two meaningful (admittedly subjective) packaging/art differences.

1. Fillmore: Ryko printed on uncoated paper to mirror tactile sensation of orig LP.

2. Just LA: Ryko has Cal Schenkel art on inner tray. New one plain yellow with 'stache logo (not as important, but still....)

3. SENSATION: Ryko cd has cool photos of band members from period shoot. New one no have.

Not a mistake, but the label logo has been removed from the upper left-hand corner of the Over-nite Sensation artwork. IMO, this is a plus. Having "Ryko" in Discreet font just looked wrong and the two-fer packaging was just a cluster fuck in so many ways. The lack of logo makes it look more elegant.

O.K., having started a thread to collect just typos and mistakes on the 2012 reissues was another stupid idea by me. I give up.

Don't worry, Thinman - FZ used to encourage this type of thing, corrections from the fans. Remember the notes in Guitar and YCDTOSA? It's not your fault that times have changed.

The iTunes booklet for YCDTOSA Vol. 5 is missing a whole page, disc 1, tracks 19-25 are not listed at all.

Joe's Garage monotonously states 'Produced, Composed & Written by FZ'. I think it's supposed to read produced, composed and either/both arranged & conducted by FZ?

Also, no mention in either insert liners of Dick Smothers, co-writer (words) of 'Dong Work for Yoda' according to the original vinyl & Ryko CD's.

Did they fix the date & location info in the YCDTOSA liner notes or is it the same incorrect info as before?

"Baby Snakes" ZR-3867 states that 'This Soundtrack was released in 1982.' on the tray card, but the CD states 1983.

Don't worry. Your only stupid idea was assuming that people could read.

Check the back cover.

The new CD has the first instance I have seen of using Arabic numerals for the Acts (i.e. "Acts 1, 2, and 3") rather than Roman numerals ("Acts I, II, and III"). Strangely, it appears on the front of the first booklet and on the discs themselves, but the front of the second booklet still has the Roman numerals.

Does anyone know of any previous versions that used the Arabic numerals?

Not really a mistake but an inconsistency.

Some list the original release date with month and year, others list just the year.

I don't know if it's a mistake but on some records, it says "FZ/Mothers of Invention" (f.e. Burnt Weeny Sandwich) and on some it says "Frank Zappa/The Mothers of Invention" (Absolutely Free).

Another thing I've noticed is that on the back cover of Burn Weeny Sandwich, it says that The Little House I Used to Live In is 21:52 minutes long.

Grand Wazoo is credited to FZ on the spine and disc of the UME release. It was credited to the Mothers on the spine and label of the LP.

Does Humor Belong in Music? specifies the following track order/index on the tray/in the insert:

01. Zoot Allures
02. Tinsel Town Rebellion
03. Trouble Every Day
04. Penguin in Bondage
05. Hot Plate Heaven at the Green Hotel
06. What's New in Baltimore?
07. Whipping Post
08. Cock-Suckers' Ball
09. WPLJ
10. Let's Move to Cleveland

In actuality, the UMe is as follows (same as the '95 Ryko):

01. Zoot Allures
02. Tinsel Town Rebellion
03. Trouble Every Day
04. Penguin in Bondage
05. Hot Plate Heaven at the Green Hotel
06. What's New in Baltimore?
07. Cock-Suckers' Ball
08. WPLJ
09. Let's Move to Cleveland
10. Whipping Post

This is a pretty big mistake!

Other differences: the Ryko utilizes hyphens (for Hot-Plate and Tinsel-Town), 'Whipping Post' vs. 'Whippin' Post', and also doesn't utilize a question mark in the LP title.
