in the Coneheads movie? I don't know if this has been asked before, but I was curious. I don't think it's in the movie, it is?

Has Zappa music ever been in a movie? I thought the licensing would be prohibitive since you never hear Zappa in movies.

Not true

I attended a stag party recently and was exposed to a cheap french porn movie, an edited torture never stops (Zoot Allures version) was the sound track over and over and over for 40 minutes, FZ would have loved it's cheapness, I know I did..

I don't know. It was fairly well budgeted, I think they could have gotten it.

Watermelon in Easter Hay was used in Y Tu Mama Tambien.

This is the only one I hadn't heard before:

"Cured" his kids of sibling rivalry by making a tape of them squabbling, then forcing them to listen to said tape while handcuffed together in the bathroom; this was to show them how dumb they sounded when bickering.

What about the MST3K one? Two of my favorite things in the world are MST3K and Zappa...

Missed that one. I don't know...you google it and it just takes you to the same things on different websites.

Was the Them Or Us script called Dwell and was it about a viewpoint of a spider?

Cal, most of the "Zappa trivia" page I'd read before (with one or two exceptions), but it was Gail who put Moon & Dweezil in the bathroom and handcuffed them together, locked the door and turned on a tape recorder. After they were done fighting, she rewound the tape, played it,and they were so horrified they never fought again. I've read this one a number of times, including in an interview w/Moon. The one bit o' trivia I read once and am not sure if it's true is that he sat the kids down and showed them an X-rated movie--instead of actually telling them about sex, I guess? Even if true, most porn is pretty laughable and not something a kid would be comfortable watching with their folks. Maybe that was the point. Moon has said since her bedroom was next to her parents, even though she did'nt know the term "orgasm", she figured out what one was by the time she was three.....

Oh yes, maybe "Conehead" is'nt in the Conehead film because of Frank's hosting stint on SNL and there were still bad feelings on Dan Ackroyd's part? Who knows? There is a tiny bit of from "Lumpy Gravy" in the movie "More American Graffiti", and I mean a tiny bit near the beginning, so fast it's done by the time you realize it's on.

I Love Conehead, I'll take it over ever having to hear MONTANA again.
Anyway, Frank wrote that song, I believe, to be part of the SNL performance, having Connie dance around with the band, FZ and she doing the ring sex thing. Does that make it any the more palatable to the detractors?

As for the Conehead movie, surprisingly good. It's really about immigration and the finale is a great hommage to "cheepnis" type movies.

I don't know why I even saw it, as I can't really stand Ben Stiller but why "I'm The Slime" wasn't included in "The Cable Guy" is a mystery. I remember reading Stiller saying he was on the prowl for "televison-related songs." Maybe Gail shut him down. Or maybe he is just the weenie I think he is.

PLEASE! Need an id on this movie. Gotta have it. Thanks

PS I recall reading here that a fellow saw a porn movie and above the bed was the record store promo poster for the Bongo Fury album. Now that wd be worth watching too, like taking place in my teenage bedroom.
