The Democrats are slightly to the left of the Republicans on this stuff. If you keep the Republicans in power perpetually, America will (if it hasn't already) just turn into a private company with no one to legislate against whatever it does. The Democrats are the only chance you have of civilising capitalism in the US. Albeit a very slim chance.

Humans seem to be far too gullible and take a long time to learn from the lessons of history. Back in the days of Feudalism, when the true rulers of the system ruled openly, there were very few benevolent rulers. As opposed to nowadays with the sinister way in which those truly in power remain faceless behind an illusion of a democratic parliament. What makes any of you think these guys are any more benevolent than people with that much power have ever been?

I agree, I have given up on trying to make a point or offer an opinion when someone I have liked on the forum in the past insist on calling me names and trying to bully me out of the conversation. I don't really like either party, but I attempt to offer opinions for what I see and what I think and because I am in some way going against someone else’s opinion...I am harassed as are others. Then I am accused of not sufficiently making my point, as if it is somehow deficient.

I have always defended the weak against the abusers of the world, I am not going to stop when someone bad attempts to abuse me or others here. This bully had a chance to cool his jets and he chooses to go Richard Cranium on anyone who did not cave...well I know how to deal with this type of harassment and I will, I’m not sure if this guy is Isaac or the Three Stooges, but he is a bully in the purist sense and it is unacceptable.

I think just about ANYONE paying attention can see that this is a diversion tactic that is NOT working. And if you actually made a point and expounded on what you meant, then I'd still probably disagree...but I'd still respect your opinion. And the ONLY times where I've resorted to profanity, are when I have a history with someone, or when I've been attacked first (recently, it's been with yourself & SPACEBROTHER).
