What the fuck? It looks like a compilation or something. Since Frank worked on it himself, I'm sure there is some type of twist.

Some new compilation then? Odd.

not really odd. it's all songs dealing with stupidity of some American people and the idiots of our society. what's odd to me is that Flakes and HDYWAMLM? are not included.

To be fair, HDYWAMLM? isn't exclusive to America. It's pretty fucking universal.

As close as it could possibly get, or what? -- 'Have I Offended Someone?' Part 2, so to speak... Nice, though I'm glad I can save the money and buy a couple of Rashied Ali albums I should have grabbed a long time ago, instead.
:)
Thanks for the tracklist, pfunky, man...

Wow - the only "new" tracks would appear to be "I'm the Slim", an atypical ditty on the benefits of exercise (or a spelling mistake) and "Pornwars Deluxe" - which sounds rather more interesting.
Thanks for the research anyway...

They only played a few of those songs in 88. Anyway, I guess we might know more about this in a few weeks.

I am hoping for the extended version 200 Years Old. I am thinking some different mixes - real music played by real people.

If the songs are the original album versions, CD1 adds up to 76min 47sec. If it's the longer edit of 200 years old, the tt will be 79min 59sec. So there is a small chance....

09. Thing-Fish Intro

Seems quite useless in my opinion.
I like the whole album and the story of it and it fits with the rest of the songs, but taking out just the intro is bullshit.

Think I'll skip this one. Why not take make your own compilation CD-R with that tracklist, and there you'd have it? If there's not FZ "bogus DJ" commentary between each song, where it flows like a radio show, then this is a useless rehashed compilation. You used to HATE those, remember?

I will likely get it and I expect to know nothing about it before it's released.

This and Mothermania isn't showing up on any other sites and it should be out next week. I don't see it happening in the next batch.

Mothermanis also on cduniverse.

Understanding America - I pre-ordered this from Amazon US. Added a cheap video to avoid shipping...they shipped out the video - still saying 10/30 for this. I have doubts.

Will go to local indy store tomorrow to see if they got either in.

Try Googling the barcode (824302389225) for Undertsanding America; you'll see it is indeed showing up elsewhere.

I found a Japanese page mentionning "Frank Zappaの最新ベスト!" which might be translated as "latest best of Frank Zappa!".
If this is a compilation, I would prefer something with the taste of Strictly Commercial than Cheap Thrills.

edit : well I forgot this picture from Jaypfunk & the Idiot Bastard
