At first I was planning to just buy a few, but after seeing how much better the packaging was, and overall the new releases do sound better in most cases, I am finding myself ordering more and more. I've already bought 10 CDs and just ordered another 10 (all from Amazon.com, prices are superb there, and free shipping for Prime members just adds to the value).

Anyone else finding these new releases are pretty much worth getting to replace all the Ryko ones?

Originally, I was thinking about just getting some favourites here and there, but the pricing is so good in some stores, that it has quickly gone from "a few favourites" to "getting them all."

I have a few of the Ryko CDs, and I have a few titles on vinyl as well. Part of the original problem was the sheer number of albums that Frank made, and when they were on Ryko, they were definitely a bit pricey, which made it even harder to think about getting all of them. But as mentioned, some stores are really pricing aggressively, and so now I look at the catalogue and go "This is do-able!!!"

I look forward to hearing about each new release that is coming up!

I hope to buy them all someday, but the original mixes are what I'm after initially.

Just the Original Mixes for me.
If 24bit digitals were released I would probably cave.

I've got about half of the newly remastered items. After I get all the remastered albums, I'll see where I stand.

If you're anything like me, where you will be standing is at your CD shelves wondering what to play next......

It's a great time to be a Frank fan

I'll get them all over time but am starting with the ones sourced from analog masters.

I shall buy mostly all excluding FO, WOIIFTM, LG, CWRATJ, UM, RAE, OF, ZINY. MFU LSO, TPS. MoFo I&II, Lumpy Money and Greasy covered the early stuff

The 88 tour stuff I will decide once the completists have weighed in. I'm not made of money and don't have a big house so getting all of them just to satisfy my completist itch is not a good option for me. Loving my AF and CR discs they are the first 2 new purchases so far. SY, YAWYI, and JG are up next.

I won't buy them all, just the ones that are improved (remastered from the analog tapes).

This is kind of where I'm at too. Though I admit the new booklets are improved over the Ryko ones.

Yeah, but not that much, that I would buy those records all over again (but maybe if they come in a Project/Object-edition).

So far I've bought The Grand Wazoo, Hot Rats, Burnt Weeny Sandwich, Apostrophe (') and Absolutely Free. The next ones I will buy, are Over-nite Sensation and One Size Fits All. :)

I'm buying them all up to and including Joe's Garage. I can't get into FZ's 80's stuff.

I'm not the biggest fan of his 80s stuff, either...

Yeah ... I've preordered all of them from either Best Buy or Amazon.com. So I pretty much get them on day of release.

Who is buying all the new 2012 FZ releases?

The people who have me on their Christmas List.

Some relatives demand Christmas Lists and being relatives, we must try to accomodate. Ultimately, I'd rather have someone pick out a gift without suggestions, but that not being the case, I might as well ask for FZ discs.

I'm on the fence with the 80's stuff now. I have things like the You Can't Do that On Stage series. I have no idea if they ever upgraded the initial Ryko on them to justify a second purchase.

then again, I like the slip cases on the 2 disc sets and having them all in a row row with numbered spines is awful pretty.

Bugger it, I just ordered all of the remasters I was missing. Couldn't pass up $12 each and free shipping!
