We had a nice relaxing day at the Daughter Plook the Elders house washed our cloths and watched football, the game wasn't on but the Son in Law is a gamer and somehow he hooks up through his computer to a buddies TV through the game box and we get the game, pretty cool.

We made some sausage and skirt meet on the barbie and had some excellent sandwiches along with corn and veggies all from the grill.

Got back to the room early and worked on reports last night, headed to the OC to do audits today...talk at ya all later...

Apparently have pushed myself to far with this cold and almost completely lost my voice, the Daughter Plook the Elder brought me some chicken noddle soup...

I've had to cut back on the smoking... :smoke:

Hope youre feelin better Plook. Hey I always wondered where that shot on your profile pic was taken. Looks like a southern cal skatepark from the 70s. There were a couple huge ones I always wanted to skate down there. I skated when the parks were open in Nor Cal in late 70s early 80s one of my friends went pro and made a living off of it. Now he's in video games and designs skate parks and skates in old guy competitions. Stevie Cabillero

I am feeling pretty good, throat is a lot better, only have to make it one more day on the road and then I get 10 days at home!

That is the Hemet Spillway one of the few skate spots that I could take all comers at, it is in Batista Canyon discovered by Motocross bikers who also had a skater connection. I was one of the first to ride it in probably ‘75, it is several miles long but starts at about 50 feet wide and funnels to about 10' over about a 1/4 of a mile, the bottom had a dish shape and the maximum possible drop was 65' with speeds of 30 to 35 miles an hour and possible 40 with a tail wind. By ’78 no one could touch me there, what you see in the photo is one of the two matching drops in the background. I dropped in from the opposite 65 foot drop and that is the peak of my first turn almost 100 yards down the line full speed at least 35 mph (Google Bautista Canyon Rd Hemet California you’ll see it)

If you did not know I was one of the first skaters in a pool, I designed and built a skate park in Pomona in “77. I skated with all the famous skaters of the day including the Dog Town skaters including Alva, Adams, and Peralta…we were not friends…lol..I ran with Wally Inouye (first no hands aerial), Waldo Autry (father of the Mt. Baldy pipeline), and George Orton (invented the modern aerial), plus a whole host of others.

I pretty much gave up skating by 1980 to focus on surfing at an expert level...now Im a couch potato...lol...

I bypassed the skateboarding and surfing and went straight to the couch. Unlike a lot of kids, I knew what I wanted at an early age. I think that this single-mindedness has brought me the success that I'm enjoying today.

Funny discovery. When I write x a n a x with the letters close together, it comes out *SPAM*. It was an accident that I rather like.

Unfortunately Mrs.Plook has to go in this morning for an Upper GI she has had recuring issues as a result of her Vistibular problem and it seems the years of becoming physically ill from vertigo has taken a high toll on here digestive and food intake systems...and to top it off you found a lump on her breast yesterday, such a good person and she can not catch a break...I will talk at you later... :(
