Two mildly interesting comments on the show from people who (claim they) actually went to it. Culled from the piles of litter on the internet.
Thanks for searching. This sounds interesting!!!
From FzShows we get that the band in August 68 was:
FZ, Ray Collins, Roy Estrada, Jimmy Carl Black, Art Tripp, Ian Underwood, Don Preston, Bunk Gardner, Motorhead Sherwood. (Last tour with Ray Collins)
The only show listed for August 68 is uncertain, and gets the following mention:
1968 08 03 - Wollman Rink, Central Park, New York, NYDate and location for the following recordings are quite uncertain...Early Show ?65 min, Aud, B+
With "Billy Velvet" from the audience (*). Actually it's quite unlikely that this show took place at the Wollman Ring.intro, Trouble Every Day, improvisations, Hungry Freaks Daddy, King Kong, improvisations, Mr Green Genes, My Boyfriend's Back / I'm Gonna Bust His Head, Tiny Sick Tears, Hang On Sloopy*, Wipe Out, Go Cry On Somebody Else's Shoulder, Octandre
Late Show ?This recording was previously listed as two separated but related items. The creator of this page has now found definitive evidence it is actually from a single show. This recording used to circulate in uncountable combinations and permutation, parts of it were previously listed as 1968 ?? ?? - Central Park?, New York?, were commonly known as Central Park, 1969 08 02 and even circulating as Montreal, 1969 08 or with Fillmore East as location.60 min, Stage, A-/B+
Jazz Rock Heavily Influenced By Al Kooper (flute solo), Help I'm A Rock / Transylvania Boogie, Baby Love, Big Leg Emma, Shortly (Holiday In Berlin), Trouble Every Day, The Orange County Lumber Track Medley
So, not much to go along with. A month later they are in Europe without Collins.
