WalkerJWalker: Are you seriously listening to all those records you buy, or are you just a collector? That's a lot of CD's (some of them are good)! :D

I am slowly getting around to listening to them all, but it will probably take a lifetime. I take a portable CD player "Walkperson" clone, and review/audition discs while I shop. Some I trade, some I am going to try to broker, and others I give to friends and family, therefore all the "second copies." I enjoy the scavenging the discount racks (basically its my retail therapy), and finding cheap gems. It is hard to pass up great albums for a nickel or a quarter on CD. The Billy Joel 2CD set (which downer mydnyte dissented about) was only a quarter, and I cleaned the first CD and it played fine; not a bad deal since the it was the remastered version. Overall the Billy Joel remasters sound much better than the original releases. All in all, 95% of the CDs I buy play fine, and I can fix a majority of them with first eyeglass cleaner, and if that does not work, old formula Brasso.

Anyway, that trip to McKay's Monday night.

Fontanelle - Vitamin F
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D9eoEyYspoE

"Fontanelles’ abrupt change in musical direction on their fourth album leads the listener down a dark, thick, fuzzy groove-laden path.

Electric-era Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock &The Headhunters and Funkadelic are some greasy points of reference for their sophisticated strut. Featuring members of sunn 0))), Eagle Twin, Earth, etc... Fontanelle has conjured a burly fusion jazz sound that has been dubbed, “White Magus.”

Gentry Densley (Eagle Twin), Steve Moore (Earth, sunn 0))) ), Hans Teuber, Eric Walton (Skerik), Jef Brown (Jackie-O MF) and Dave Carter are all featured on Vitamin F"
