Yeah, there are some cases throughout the Gabriel-era box, where they couldn't find the takes used on the album, or recreate the vocal effects. The result is a very different album, in my opinion. Also, the whole thing is mastered much louder and the dynamic range compressed. If you want to hear the vinyl mix, the CD from the mid 90s is the way to go.

Okay, didn't know that. It's the mid-90's discs that I referred to as the earlier CD version. I think it sounds very thin and not so good. But maybe they sound different depending on what system you use.
