Zappa invented the same idea as spotify, and people on this forum still put it down and do not understand it, If Zappa was alive they would all be right on it...

From the Läther photo session?

- What I REALLY wonder is if they dare put it out with the blackface cover that they have avoided so far, to not compete with Joe's Garage. That's still the original and best...

That's an odd choice of cover, since the title is pronounced "leather"!

Yeah, that's why I decided against including it in my earlier post (couldn't be bothered resizing it either  ).

As for your other post, true, it would be the Lather shoot I suppose. With regards your desire to see the original, now Joe's Garage, cover employed, I can see that urge myself but would probably prefer an alternative being decided upon as I do associate that cover with JG pretty strongly now and don't really see the need to confuse matters. Personally, in fact, I probably still like the cow design the most- though I recognise this is probably as it's what I've first associated with the album, and I am open to a change, regardless-, finding it quite clever and relevant to the title (though I do feel that cover's colour scheme is a bit drab and dreary). 8)

I'm loosing track. What is the matter now with the Läther reissue? Is it newly remastered from the analog master without the bonus tracks? Or what?

I don't think we ever got any solid info on that, did we?

Call me crazy, but I actually kind of like the shaving cream (or pie?) cover. I always thought the cow cover looked kind of cheap, and the Sexytime Frank cover is a bit icky.

At least the tracklist tells me that it is without the bonus tracks this time: http://www.jpc.de/jpcng/poprock/detail/-/art/Frank-Zappa-L%E4ther/hnum/1685823

(Excuse me for stressing on JPC so much. But they are the place where I traditionally buy, although a bit expensive. They started out with a freaky record store in my town in the mid '70s and I used to hang around there all the time after school. They got big later with several outlets only to close them all down in recent years to concentrate on mailorder.)

Not to be all "conspiracy theory" about it but just because they list that as the track listing on their site doesn't necessarily confirm that that is what it will actually be, right? I mean it is still showing the "sexy time" FZ and not the "whip cream" cover, after all.
Wouldn't it be crazy if the ZFT posted something on their website with details on releases they're trying to promote and/or sell? That'd be nuts!

Amazon also has it without the bonus tracks. That, to me, is a strong hint that the new version will indeed not have the bonus tracks.

JPC usually doesn't just link to old database content, like Amazon, when there is a reissue. When there is a tracklist with soundfiles they are from the actual release as one would expect.

Don't come up with doubts about "my" JPC ;-)

Haha, I don't mean to insult anyone's pride for their music shop of choice!
I just feel like we never have any definitive answers until a member of the board purchases the item-in-question, receives it and informs the rest of us. Goofy-ass process (if anyone's askin'....)

Let the record show (Your Honor), both the beloved JPC and Amazon show the "sexy time" FZ cover.
