Excellent!

I also hope this will be released as a CD set. But then again, 2 hours, 44 minutes and 20 seconds won't fit on 2 CDs...

Sorry, to me it seems worthless: do we have the DVD? Yes? Can we listen to it ANYTIME? Yes. So: WHY release the very same thing in another format?

At first I was happy and thought they release the entire concert from that day - now that would be the thing. Now buying again something we already have... of which more than half of it is only talk and talk... Just un-understable. Who's gonna buy this at all? Nothing for the music-lovers - something for the market, with the illusion of "being there". Sad - to me.

Hahaha! The most ridiculous thing: you can buy the DVD (the whole movie, extras, whatever) for $24.98, and only the soundrack now for $29.99... Hahahah - I can see people in long queues willing to pay MORE for something they already have... Unbelieveable.

There is no reason to take every release that important. Simply ignore it and spend your money and time on something else.

You are right - but sometimes I tend to think on FZ's newly released "albums" two ways:

- for the newbie: each and every worthless and meaningless release makes it harder to find the ones with real value, with real music. The tons of unnessesary release builds an image of a musician who worked few - released a lot, sometimes the same thing on severelal formats. It's just false - and sad that it is something that can be seen from ZFT's actions.
- for an FZ-enthusiastic: it's sad to see that the family releases stuff that they will not be able to sell - it will not make them profit, so the promised releases (Roxy, Dance me This, Petit Wazoo 2, etc) are getting more and more far away.

It's no good for anyone. It does count, what you release, it does count whether there are real considerations behind it, or just "lets throw out something for them, guys!" (I remember Gail saying after a release: “It was like, ‘Come on, Joe. How fast can we make a record?’ I think we put that together in a week." - It's just not serious. It's ridiculous.)

I really dont understand why they are spending money on these kind of releases. NO ONE CARES!

well, at least we are one year away from roxy

I already have this. I bought a DVD audio ripper a couple of months after the movie came out.

Now I know, don't need the dialogue, so I will pass at $30

Ditto.
Just the show would have been mighty fine though.
Pass.

One was on a postcard Barfko Swill mailed in 1987 (unfortunately, the one I got is long gone).

I already ripped the soundtrack from the DVD years ago just to complete my own fetishist sickness. no need for this and i'm not really gonna complain either. the only thing that would have been a nice treat is if they gave us the full 10/31/1977 show.

Just got it without checking the forum - silly me. Damn, I thought it was the entire concert, not the DVD audio. I would have bought a used copy and ripped the audio and saved money in the hard Obama-rigged times. O well, got a long drive today to see family for holidays, will listen to it then. Maybe I can hear it all before the world ends. Speaking of, checked with a friend in Australia - they should all be vaporized by now - he said everyone is Bloody Hell this, and Bugger That, so all is well down under.
