I remember seeing a couple of posts around here some place that had web sites that
listed Frank's concert tours by the year, dates, locations, and venues,

anybody around here remember those web sites ??,, or if they even exist today ??,,,,

I already tried the search, never did know how to get that thing to work,,
and all I can find on the web is ZPZ dates,,,,

those are both useful and informative sites Tripmyster and Pope Jim, and I appreciate your input,
but the one or two sites I remember were nothing but years listed, with each month and date, the city, and name of venue for each gig,
some of the gig dates and places were validated and others were suspect,
noting that they may or may not have taken place because some tour schedules were changed after they were released,,

the reason for my search is to determine whether or not a show took place in
Cleveland Ohio on November 19, 1981 at Public Hall / 95 minutes,,,,
one site has a set list,and the other can't validate,,

and the reason I'd like to know this is,

a couple of people I know, that have no real reason to bullshit me, are convinced they saw Frank with two other guys, ( body guard types )
walk in the bar they were in late after midnight one night, looked around, and then just left, in a suburb of Cincinnati sometime around that time of year, they don't remember the date,,

Frank did play Cincinnati the next night, November 20,,

so if they might have seen Frank on that night, how could this be ??,,

was he in Cincinnati early because Cleveland didn't take place ??,,
or was the Cleveland show short enough that he would have had time to be in Cincinnati at that late hour on the 19th ??,,

I did cruise the Cincinnati venue late at night on the 19th, and I think I remember seeing the bus and equipment semi already there in place,,

if it is possible that Frank could have been in that bar,, I have a pretty good idea as to why he would have been there,,,,

and after 31 years,, the pieces might finally fall into place,,,,

where Cleveland, or Vince's ??

I didn't say he was looking for us in Cleveland,,

I'm saying it's possible he was in Vince's late at night if he didn't play Cleveland,,
and it might be possible he was there if he did do a "95" min. program in Cleveland that started at say 8:00 pm or even 9:00 pm,,
what is it ??, three, three and a half hours from Cleveland to Cincy,,
and I'm pretty sure I saw the bus and semi parked at riverfront coliseum before last call at the bar,,

either way, the site your looking at, what Zappateers ??, shows the set list in Cleveland, but doesn't confirm it,
neither does Spacebros, or JPD's,, and Zappateers shows Frank being in Chicago on the 27th which ain't right, because
I saw that show on Thanksgiving night the 26th,,,,

so,, you know,, I think it was possible he could have been at the bar,,,,

and so,, here is the reason why I think Zappa was in that bar,,
( for anybody who gives a rats ass )

earlier in 1981 I had been in touch with Frank's head publisher, Eloise Peacock, concerning a project I was considering at that time,,
after several months of bullshitting and getting to know her, the subject of bootleg records came up,,
she was very interested in these and was unaware that they were even out there,,
and so being the collector's Pedro 2 and I were at that time, I would send her these extra boot LPs, and she would send me press kits,
promo records, and all sorts of keen Zappa related stuff,,

I know she went straight to Frank with these things, and if he didn't know anything about bootlegs of his work before, he sure as hell did then,,

because not long after that, the FBI came knocking at my door asking questions, ( enter agent Ed Casey, on the case ),,

well, somehow I think she got the idea these boots were circulating at this bar I frequented called "Vince's Other Place" located in a suburb north
of Cincinnati, because I had told her that me and Pedro 2 hung there all the time and that the bar owner was hip to our stories about being big Zappa fans,
collectors and what not,,

I never gave it much thought at that time, but just recently, I posted my infamous mannequin hand with the FZ signature on facebook, and this pretty
reliable person I know, Sandy Springer, posted that she and Mike House, and Toad, were all sitting in Vince's real late one night, and she is absolutely sure
Frank came into that bar with two other guys that looked like bodyguard types, he was wearing a long coat, they looked around a little bit, then just left,
and know one else in the place seemed to even notice his presence except her and Mike and Toad, and this all would have taken place at about the time
Frank was doing the 81 tour,,

so, if she was not hallucinating, I'd think Frank actually took the time to check out this saloon to see for himself if any of these boots were going around in this place, I can't think of any other reason for why he would be there,,

which means, if I hadn't been downtown, driving around the coliseum late that night casing the venue out like I often did before a show, I might have been in that bar, sitting around bullshitting with Frank,,,,
