The costant catch-phrases in work repeated verbatim by upper and lower management.
This month it's "cool!," whenever something works out. My work station is now called a "neighborhood." I hummed the theme song from "Mister Roger's Neighborhood." when
I first heard this exciting news.

Why are people saying pecifically rather than specifically these days?

I always assume that they are trying to make some sort of reference to the Pacific ocean. It makes for some enjoyable conversations when I reply with that assumption.

pacifically: Done in the manner of the Pacific Ocean

"Like, I wanna know your career goals... pacifically" "Well, I had not considered any sort of career related to the ocean, but perhaps I should"

I do the same when my students ask "Can I go to the bathroom?" "I don't know, and I hope I never find out"

I find that Pacific-ally right.Living close to it,I always think Pacific before specific and sometimes it all melds together, pacifically, just like that.

Kath and Kim from 2002:

Kath: [Trying to help her daughter to lose weight] Kimmy, I've got one word to say to you... Ozone!
Kim: What?
Kath: The ozone diet. It's the only way! It's taking Hollywood by storm, Kim. Everybody's on it: Madonna Penn Ritchie, Jennifer Pitt Aniston, Courtney Loves Cox.
Kim: The ozone diet? What does that pacifically entail?
Kath: Well, it's air evidently, Kimmy. You eat air for two weeks, and then red meat for two weeks, so it all balances out!

Another damn internet ad that says "insert the appropriate profession's hate him". Do you really think doctors and trainers have the time and energy to sit around wasting energy hating people because they made some product? If these ads work, the populace is so far beyond naive.

"Language Professors HATE Him! Doctors hate him! Trainers hate him!"

"Man I just hate that guy sooooooo much. ERG!!!!!!!" What are we, ten?

That's more like a speech impediment isn't it? Like people who can't say ask. "I aksed him what he was doing". I had a boss once who did that, who was otherwise very well educated and certainly no fool.

'Haitch' for the pronunciation of the letter 'H' rather that 'aitch'
