It is online - do a search at the US copyright office. I will get a link for it.

I'm copyrighting farts. I can't wait until the royalty checks start coming in. Fortunately, I already have a gas mask...

"No results were found for your search."

Got plenty for "Captain" but nothing for "Beefheart", but hell, I could be doing something wrong.

I did a search for Beefheart on the site, and that is what I got - she even has sunglasses covered - wow - Captain Beefheart sunglasses? She filed last August. What does this do for Don's estate?
What next, Wild Man Fischer? Supposedly Gail has hinted that An Evening With ... is being prepared for release at some point

I get this message when I click on your posted link:

This search session has expired. Please start a search session again by clicking on the TRADEMARK icon, if you wish to continue.

and I get this message when I try to do my own search:

Sorry, no results found for 'beefheart'. Try entering fewer or broader query terms.

I assume once again that I must be doing something incorrect, but no idea what it could be.

I did a trademark search, then go to the basic word search and type in beefheart. I just did it again and it popped right up

Electronic games software. I cannot wait to see what kind of game they come up with for this. I'm sure it would sell millions.

WTF do you know about Captain Beefheart, Calvin? After all, you've only listened to Trout Mask Replica four times and you still didn't like it.

I want to copyright the name of Gail's attorney, Dax Alvarez. That's an even cooler name than Captain Beefheart.

CB should've copyrighted that name ages ago. Maybe he didn't understand the necessity of all the paperwork. There was this Dutch band in the 80s, Doe Maar, a ska-type group that everybody loves but me. They became immensely popular, much to their own disbelief; but because they never copyrighted name or band colours, all sorts of paraphernalia with their band logo were unleashed onto the public and sold like hot cakes. The band never got a dime from that.

Yes, I'm not sure whether paperwork was one of the Captain's strengths...

Honestly? I googled Trout Mask Replica.....I only knew Frownland as one of the titles.

Nobody I ever heard of likes Trout Mask the first time, especially sprawled over 2 LPs, running the length of a movie. It is a monstrous portion of music with no references that last, there is nothing to grab on to, like being in musical whitewater trying to grab hold of something solid and real that you know of. It took me 3 - 4 times before I started to "get it", then once I got it about the 5th time, I've never left it. Sounds like you need to try one or two more times before all is revealed. Raw and unrelenting at first, it gets richer, warmer, and deeper with age. I find great joy and humor in it overall, and it makes me smile every time I listen to it. That said, putting Frownland at the beginning was a brilliant idea.
I still want the CB sunglasses- guess they are trout-shaped?
