The is the place you might have heard of in NYC that John Zorn curates.
I found out that Eugene Chadbourne will have an extended booking there from Oct. 29-Nov.3. I'd consider making it a mini-vacation to NYC, but, looking on the site it says "there are no advance ticket sales all admissions are at the door prior to each performance". So, then is it worth taking a chance that one of the days won't be impossible to get in to?

Hahaha, I used to sleep out in front of Filp Side Records when I was in high school and could convince my parents that I was with enough friends that were trusted. Then later at college it was more or less a party scene depending on the location. Sure, online auctions and wristbands and the like goes on now, but I had some good times hanging out in the cold for Rush, Jethro Tull, Grateful Dead, Triumph, REM, Oingo Boingo, a ton of times and perhaps the coldest of all, while wearing electric socks and a snowsuit in January with the Chicago Lakefront winter winds hitting me on the corner of Michigan Ave.... FZ!

I really wouldn't worry about NOT getting in. Unless Zorn himself is gonna do something spectacular with him (doubtful) all will be well.

I have to assume that Zorn will do something spectacular (spectacular for EC fans anyway). Who knows? Maybe not each night, but I'd like to think at least one night. There could even be a Shockabilly reuinion! I know that EC doesn't have a huge fan-base and I'd probably get in one way or another, but I have been to EC shows at small venues before where it was SRO in the back. True!
