True. He's shitting all over this country. Years from now it will proven that he's the worst President that we would ever have. Fuck him!

Is that the Declaration, or the constitution?

Either way, he can burn it because of the neo-con's USA PATRIOT Act.

All nice and legal.

Here's CBS from yesterday actually giving credence to the idea of scrapping the Constitution.

Dangerous.

Why would you pollute the Zappa forum with more political threads? Why? Why? Why?

I guess you like watching monkeys jack off in their cages.

2. Not particularly, but I admit a casual interest in the rhino I saw shooting off against a rock in the Berlin Zoo in 1984.

1. I don't think the Zappa Forum is in a state where it can get polluted. If you want hardcore focus on FZ only, you'll have to go elsewhere. The good thing about it is the diversity - makes its own sauce. As a European I even learn something about the collective American Psyche here. Correct me if I'm wrong, and that'll be another lesson.

With this understanding of the forum in mind, I made the topic because I thought a discussion about the Obama painting - which is currently published in more than 2270 posts as Disco Boy's signature - could raise consciousness about whether this is a realistic political visual metaphor or subliminal propaganda.

This crap about Obama being socialist IS blatant propaganda. Nevermind that compared to the European politicians he's a right-centrist, some people in America have the nerve to label him socialist/marxist/communist, which is totally blown out of proportion.

Maybe Obama does have some flaws, but I'm glad he's in charge rather than Tim T.R. Money

no it isn't. he was raised that way. Take a closer look at who his father was and what he was all about. Obama worshiped that piece of shit.

He's better than the last chump and failure-in-chief who called himself our president.

As far as the painting goes, it should come as no surprise that there is a lot of resentment that a non-caucasion finally became president. Blacks didn't even have a right to vote in America until 1965, which was only a couple of years before my lifetime started.

Fuckin' hilarious. Did we really need yet another political hyperbole thread? We've got Breaking News for general politics, Political Solutions etc for for opinionated ramblings, the Ron Paul thread for endless retread of wishful thinking turned sour as well as at least one other Trash Obama thread. Sure, its hilarious to talk about what Obama did when he was a kid and the whole premise of this thread has gotten me at least a couple laughs so far.
One thing I'd add though: No one is socialist. Anywhere. Capitalism won. There are various types of governments that incorporate socialist ideas because some socialist ideas are good ideas. Others have used socialism to creaty tyrrany or even to keep the population down while the rich take advantage of other coutries capitalism.
Don't be a sucker and believe that the US is headed towards some media-driven hyperbolic version of scaaarrrry socialism.

exactly

One of the primary reasons that people have resentment towards America's first black president -----> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voting_Rights_Act

...which is also a primary reason that there is resentment towards the ACLU -----> http://www.aclu.org/timelines/timeline- ... rights-act

The race card is so cheap. The guy just as white as he is black, even more so if you want to consider his upbringing.

He was clearly influenced as a young man by Frank Marshall Davis, who could be his real father...

http://whatreallyhappened.com/WRHARTICL ... echild.php

Frank Davis was a known Communist.

There's lots of reasons not to like Obama.

viewtopic.php?f=10&t=23251

In my view, he was placed in office by the elite. I knew he was going to be the choice in 2008 after he won Iowa, and the corporate media started adoring him. To me, the guy talks a lot but doesn't say anything, and he lies a lot about what he will do...he didn't close Guantanamo, and he didn't lay off medical marijuana states. He also insists on carrying out the phony war on terror, killing inocents by the hundreds.

He ain't no saint.

But, if he's destroying the Constitution, it's because GWB and the neo-con "crazies" laid the groundwork for it.

The bottom line is a lot of people do not like President Blacky McBlackman, it does not take a rocket scientist to figure the reasons out... :smoke:

I wonder if he or any president has listened to FZ on purpose........ever.

Maybe Clinton, but I doubt it.Although I could see him listening to Hot Rats. He'd probably like it.I don't think MS.Clinton would let him listen without headphones on.It's the same old story in most households across the land. The men like FZ and the women...not so much.

TRUTH.

Btw, I LOVE how the socialists of this forum think we live in a Capitalist Economy. We don't. And the US hasn't since 1929 (Canada is similar). We live in a Mixed Economy (a mix of Socialism/Capitalism). THAT'S the problem. If we lived in a truly Capitalist Economy, we wouldn't be in this particular (or possibly any) economic mess. And that's of course because socialism and its related policies are at least 50% responsible for the mess itself. Most people don't realize this. They think, "Capitalism is evil and is solely responsible for this mess! So let's re-elect a socialist to come and save the day!" And unfortunately, this mindset coupled with the Liberal-bias mainstream media's assertion of such nonsense is primarily why Obama was re-elected. But in reality, what needs to happen is the complete opposite: true Capitalism (free markets and/or its related principles) is the ONLY thing that can save the day and get us out of this economic mess. Though, it's probably too late now. And like I've been explicitly stating in a few other threads recently, because of this Mixed Economy and the uneducated who unjustly hate and don't understand Capitalism, it's only going to get worse...

"But I got a crystal ball", he said and held it to the light,
so I snatched it all away from him and showed him how to do it right.
I wrapped a newspaper round my head so I looked like I was deep,
I said some mumbo then I told him his was going to sleep.

And seriously, DB, I've read some of the crap you write here, but "the uneducated who unjustly hate and don't understand Capitalism"?? I need JayP right now to design me some horrific object for you go fuck yourself with.

Wot Arkay said!

And let me reiterate it again: despite free market fundamentalists' efforts to brand any hated politician with the dreaded S-label, Obama is NOT a true socialist/marxist, not even a real leftist by the standards of European left. If Obama was a S*****ist, then wot the fuck is any politician more left than him, Stalin?
