How many times have you seen the words "No Cover Charge Tonight" on a sign outside a bar? I was in a band during the 1980's and we were trying to come up with a name. I suggested "No Cover Charge Tonight", thinking it might lead to some very interesting scenarios when we were playing the bar circuit. None of the of the other guys liked it.

We sorta went through the same kinda thing with our local jam band. When we'd play someplace that acually advertised,I'd say call us Free Beer or Bare Nekked Woman ect. Bare Naked Ladies was taken.I think we settled on Emmersons Lake & Dahmer or Dahmers Diners or some topical name of the times. It was just for a night or two.
