So many great solos to choose from but I especially love FZ's chops on 'Winos Do Not March'.

Frank's guitar tone on Overnight Sensation as a whole gives me chills. I'll always have a fondness for his 70's era Mothers tones, but there is something about his guitar on "Eat that Question" that can make your face melt.

That's the tone where you really can't hear it, but it can still make your head explode, right?

Killer track! Would love to hear the full solo on a standard CD release.

I'm really a sucker for that pseudo-acoustic wahwah guitar tone as can be heard on "Toads of the Short Forest", "The Grand Wazoo" (intro solo), "Blessed Relief" and "Läther" (aka IPNTCIYM).

The rhythm guitar portions of "The Ocean is the Ultimate Solution" are also very distinctive, it's like a mad scientist approach to 12-string playing!

As for the more screaming lead guitar bits, I certainly do like some of the more fuzzier psychedelic types of solos, can't pinpoint any examples, but I think the 1975-76 tour had some solos like that. Even a tune like "Dirty Love" sounded almost like "My Guitar Wants to Kill Your Mama" with that classic fuzz-psych guitar sound, and let's not forget the awesome segue into "Filthy Habits" (talk about tension & release!) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A1yrxm5SSYY

pseudo more like piezo sounds like electric strings on Semi acoustic and a magnetic pickup on the sound hole.
