Which track on Joe's Garage contains the monologue by the groupie who says,

Quote:
Hi, remember me (stuck on seat#...)?
friendship isn't ...
love isn't ...
beauty isn't...
music is the best.

I don't want the entire album, merely to purchase that track. Next album on my list will be Weasels.

That would be "Packard Goose".

In that case it's been validated, because someone else also answered that.
I remember hearing Packard Goose way back when, it had a line about "the Ronald McDonald of the nouveau abstruse";
and another memorable one, "importing Punk and New Wave like some English disease."
Ach, the late '70s- what a time. What I don't remember is whether the groupie's monologue immediately preceded the song itself, or came right afterwards.
I'll definitely buy the track, though;
the album is good, but other albums supersede it in importance on my 'To Get' list.

No, just joined yesterday and didn't know when someone would answer, so wrote in two places;
it isn't a national security mystery.

This is true. However, it does seem possible that someone else may have asked this question before, more than once, so it could be a frequently asked question, by that rationale.

I'm almost afraid to ask but what exactly do u all think a Packard Goose is ?
#1 A car with a goose hood ornament ?
#2 A reporter with a thimble up his butt or
#3 A an over opinionated son of a bitch ?

I figured the reference meant that some interviewers treated Frank like he was an interesting oddity from the past (whose time had come and gone).

You can listen to the whole album on spotify, you don't need to buy pieces of plastic :-)
