I always found it interesting that FZ released the track "A Small Eternity with Yoko Ono" in 1992, and then put her on the thank you list of The Yellow Shark in 1993!

There is no reason why it could or could not have happened. With one problem ... I don't think that Yoko knows what Frank was about anymore than she did what her own work, or John's was all about! But it makes good crap for cheap publications that have folks that would not even know what questions to ask Frank, John, or even Yoko.

Frank goes way back to the earlier Beatles and he is seen/known as far back as Sgt Peppers, as we all very well know, and they would have known each other based on their ability to satirize each other and laugh and appreciate it, in one way or another.

And unlike most fans, seeing the face in the middle of the famous cover, was a nice comment about the type of work Frank was already doing ... deserving the mention for its ability and totality, which we are NOT capable of doing since we think all of this is just fan stuff and street pop/rock crap that will not be remembered in history of music a whole lot ... except for a handful of folks ... and you could say that the Beatles thought they would get there, and they will! So will Frank, sooner or later, once the family stops releasing guitar solos!

And sadly, Yoko, is a throwback to another time and place, and she is totally displaced and not capable, or willing more than likely, of doing something that would have people thinking ... maybe there is something to all this ... and instead, she works on alienating people away from her and any work she does ... even that which is related to John.

The whole thing is getting tiresome, and for my tastes it has gotten so selfish and sick, that it is not worth the mention or the attention anymore. It's totally meaningless now! And Yoko even more so!

So, to sum up......uh.......what?

Didn't Don Preston & FZ compose King Kong together,although Frank took credit.Now John and Yoyo get credit for it too! Well,scumrag!

Does anyone know fer sure about Don's involvment in composing King Kong?

I figure Frank wrote the melody (on Lumpy Gravey), but the various solo's are improvised. Certainly, when a track is titled "King Kong (its magnificence as interpreted by Dom DeWild)", it implies Don did his own thing using Frank's original as a starting point.
And if you like Don's input on King Kong...
