Right, I had to stop reading on the bus, because I got sick.

Pfft. Apple to oranges is nowhere near as good as chalk to cheese.

Did you really think there could be a thread that mentions DZ and Gary wouldn't offer his opinion as soon as anyone badmouths DZ,now didja?

In giving respect to all Zappa.com Newsgroup topics or comments about Dweezil Zappa. Be it if the topic or comment has any given shade to it, for the most part I stay away from commenting here. I do chime in but more-so it is a rare occasion. Dweezil Zappa World is ever so much more encompassing to what Dweezil is doing.

In speaking of this forum, for the most part Forum Areas are not only a community of fans but a place for hostile aggression. This particular community has little to no official involvement. I give kudos to Gail for no longer getting involved here. The GZ sez area works out just fine. Has anyone here ever wonder why the Official commentary at this News Group has all but become non-existent. There is a long history of foul behaviours that are not my cup of tea. In regards to Dweezil or any other topic, some fans have some interesting things to say, but for the most part I do not like how some have treated my friends or the Zappa family.

In the last few years, I dabble in some of the topics and commentary, but even with a wink the harassment soup has no flavour. I never looked to make any friends here. It's just one of those internet news groups that get out of control. I will say that some folks with questionable behaviours are far more interesting and cordial to spend a few minutes with at Zappa shows than on this news group. For the most part I'll leave it at that.

A forum should be a place to air your opinion if you disagree with something. If somebody running a forum wanted to just have fanatic, sycophantic doormats who believe everything should be 100 positive at all times and want them to behave like a brainwashed cult member, then I'd have to find another one. But, I believe that the forum traffic received here is nowhere near the actual Zappa consumer base, and a large majority of fans simply don't give a shit what's written here, have ever been here, and are entirely happy with the product.

The foul behaviour here has been far beyond having an opinion. My stance is against the blatant harassment towards the official agenda or those that defend it. The adolescent behaviour is so Chumondelian. The all out air assault at times is nothing more than a text and visual assault that is a common trend on many internet forums. The names change but the behaviours are the common thread. I have even heard stories of reputable clergy members getting along well in person but then getting way out of control in internet text domains. It's as if the internet creates a secret curtain for harassment. Not that some clergy members have not been involved in abuse but even the best of them loose control on the internet.

The so called whiners/complainers were rooted in a testament when the forum started a decade ago. Some of that behaviour was far from just having an opinion. Children often whine and complain until they get what they want. Having two kids I try my best to have patience with that behaviour but with Zappa there should be no need for adolescent tantrums. My kids enjoy Zappa with a general sense of joy more-so than most of the whiners and complainers. When the Vault Doors were shut there were far too many whiners. Still today, how the project/object has been moving forward, on occasion far too many still whine like a child having a tantrum. There is no sense in pointing out any individual, but any fan should be thankful for what they have instead of bitching, moaning and complaining until Little Bo Peep's sheep come home.

I will be the first to admit there is some, shall we say Bully type behavior and anger, theses are people and like any group these things happen, and like in a family you must exhibit some strength of character in adverse conditions.

But if you were any friend to the Trust and half as connected as you lead people to believe, you would advise them when they may not be doing the smartest thing.

I will defend their right to do what they want with the business they own, they have the complete right to run it right into the ground if they like, no argument from me.

But I want them to be successful and instead of sucking up like some court clown who is afraid to speak-up, you should advise them that not everything is working well. How do I know you don’t, because you back everything as if it is all pure gold, never has there been so much perfection.

So instead of acting all apart and high and mighty as if we are the unwashed masses, if you have the family’s ear you should speak for the fans, give them counsel, bridge the gap…and take advantage of the level of intelligence that exist here.

You’re derelict in your duty as a DZW member, a Zappa Forum member, as a friend of the Trust, and to Human Moral Character.

I presume he means "Cholmondelian", from André Cholmondeley, Dweezil's and the ZFT's arch-enemy: http://guitartour.wordpress.com

Being European, I don't know what that is.

Why are we even trying to decipher this? Are we out of our mind?

Thank you, Thinman. Good questions, too. I don't know why, but the guy fascinates me. I've never met such a dedicated suck-up before.

Trendmauler was out driving with his wife. They were having near collisions almost every time they made a turn. His wife suggested that there might be something wrong with the indicators so they pulled over, she got into the drivers seat while he stood at the back of the car to check the indicators. His wife turned one on and asked if it was working and Trendy replied: yes ... no ... yes ... no ... yes ... no ...
