I don't think that's what she is saying. I can't imagine Joe's Domage being very personal to FZ.

For me, anything but Dance Me This would be a disappointment.

I admit I am losing track. If Understanding America is #93, Finer Moments is #94, Baby Snakes is #95 and Roxy is supposedly going to be #96, why are discussing #98? Did I miss an announcement about #97?

Then you must have deleted your announcement, as I just checked your posts and see nothing mentioning #97. It is possible I missed it however.

Nope. Well, I won't say no for sure, but here's Gail's quote about it (she could change her mind I s'pose):

"That’s a very personal – and brilliant – album. He wasn’t bothered if it was released or not. It was a project done when Frank’s life lasted longer than anyone could have anticipated. He didn’t care if anyone heard it or not – and I feel the same. It was enough that Frank heard it. No amount of money could equal that."

Yet they are more than happy to release Joe's Domage? I don't understand.

I personally liked Joe's Domage... but I very much get what you mean.

It is according to this, but not sure where the info came from:

viewtopic.php?f=1&t=24687&hilit=%2395+baby+snakes&start=25

and this:

http://wiki.killuglyradio.com/wiki/2012 ... Soundtrack)

However, if it is not, my question stands again. Why are we discussing #98? What are numbers 95-97?

It is according to this, but not sure where the info came from:

It comes from the inside cover. It's at the very bottom.

It's funny that they don't even list it on the official site. What am I saying? It seems pretty normal actually.

anyway, we're talking about recording, where FZ was only artistic director, it was neither written, performed or conducted by him. It's clear that seriously ill person finally hearing works from his favourite composer in adequate rendition won't care about who else will hear it, but it is not definitely only FZ's personal thing. CPIII is more personal, in this sense of word.

FZ was more involved than you give him credit for, and there are more reasons for the non-release than just this "personal" issue.

I've fantasized about this particular package being realised myself (I suppose it is a fairly obvious one, given the existence of these two main components to the UM venture, and/or their respective states of release at this time); who knows, perhaps they've been working on it in and around last year's re-release programme, if not before, and it'll be one of the slated numbers before the Roxy Prequel Soundtrack. 8)

P.s.// A remaster-remix of 200 Motels, with a DVD-Blue-ray of the movie, would be a nice package and surprise, for me, too, if that somehow came to fruition (soon). :smoke:
