Flip this around, everyone loved Bostons album, horrific live band, only concert we walked out of...we had better things to do than listen to craptaculer musicians... :smoke:

Not really a bad album but they got so much better later.

Agree 100%, if the Beatles, Beach Boys, and Todd Rundgren had a baby it would have been XTC, most underrated band ever, no one else is even close... :smoke:

Could not agree more.

Don't know much about XTC, what should I pick up to try 'em out?

You might want to try Oranges and Lemons. My all-time favorite album by anyone not named Zappa.

Hey I've rediscovered White Music by digging out an old vinyl...sounds great
I remember getting rid of the CD years ago 'cos it sounded crap & tinny
I've got all the other XTC including the Transistor Box & the rare b-side albums etc

I agree with the Nonsuch, English Settlement, Black Sea recommendation
I think they're all pretty good from Drums & Wires on...

O & L is a very special album for me, but if someone is given them a try I think those three will determine what side the breads buttered on...saw them twice in LA , once was Police, XTC, Oingo Boingo...then XTC, Special Beat, Specials, The Beat...

You people sound a lot like music critiques. Anything not on the top 40 is usually worth a listen...
