No, not that Neil Young. The other Neil Young. The guy that plays some kind of instrument.

Story goes that, when my buddies' parents owned a coffee house in North Bay in the 60's Neil auditioned to play there and Randy turned him down because he didn't think anyone would want to hear him sing. The only time I had the guts to ask him about it he tried to kill me with his eyes. I survived but I think there's some truth to this story.

So that's what the song "Helpless" is all about!

This only prooves that your buddy's parent is a good coffee house manager and sucks at music appreciation...

True. He never seemed to appreciate any of the music that we played in his house. Though that may have had more to do with the volume than the content...

Here is where I was on 4/20...

Seriously. Miss Kitty and I went camping. It was way cold, but the fire was hot, good food etc...

BTW, the above sign is like the many I saw in college dorm rooms. It was a popular one to steal at NIU.

Cool, I bought a boat in superior and had to drive over the bong bridge, just thought maybe that was where the sign was from.

Well I had to check it out, and the bridge and park were both named after Richard bong, wisconsin native and the ace of aces in world war two. So he was a hell of a pilot !!

Just good vibes, good times, good memories, and a good day with a good friend.

Many thanks Kapt.; that Beatles song captures the mood of the day exquisitely, too  Illinois' (the state in which you can find Rock Cut State Park) State House of Representatives voted 61 to 57 on April 17 to allow physicians to prescribe marijuana to patients with specific terminal illnesses or debilitating medical conditions. It goes to the State Senate for approval now. Will the Prairie State deviate from the norm and cause national progress?

What do you think the chances are that it will pass the Illinois state Senate ? Does it have a chance to make there? If it can make it in IL., it can make it anywhere!

I'm optimistic, a similar bill (also dealing with medical cannabis) was approved by the senate in 2009, but was denied by the house. So as long as we aren't looking at some sort of legislative reversal through a cruel twist of fate, I'd say the chances are good. We would however still need Governor Quinn (D) to sign on the line for a real good time...

So this is like California has done, your tying to get Medicinal Marijuana legislation passed by the state congress and on to the Governor? Or like Colorado where it's been legalized for recreational use? :? Is it a Medicinal or recreational use bill, or both?

The bill advancing in IL is for medical use, not simple recreation. My apologies if I was confusing in my wording.
This does leave me wondering how long Illinois' neighbor to the north (my home state of WI) will wait to follow suit... As long as Scott Walker (R) maintains his position as governor, it's hard for me to feel as optimistic about the Badger State's progress :|
