Birmingham Alabama has a 9.22% crime rate.

The states with the highest gun ownerships and the least gun laws lead the country in gun crime rates per capita. You're nearly twice as likely to get murdered from a gun in Memphis Tenessee with a rate of 8.22% than you are in Chicago at a rate of 4.23%.

Wtf do general crime rates have to do with this?!

NOTHING you've stated detracts from what I've stated. It's simply unbelievable how delusional you are.

It's funny how you'll use population when you try to bolster your arguments about the gun crime rates in America compared to other countries, then turn around and ignore them when crime rates per city and state are made. Hypocracy at it's core. The crime rates per capita have EVERYTHING to do with it. You just can't handle being proven wrong and make excuses, almosts and constant revisions.

Chicago has an overall lower gun crime rate than most high population cities in states with higher gun ownership per capita and less strict gun laws.

Gun laws work where they are implemented and enforced.

New York City has a 2.24% crime rate statistic. Chicago Illinois has a 4.23% crime rate statistic. Devils Lake North Dakota has a 4.88% crime rate statistic, which per capita, is higher than New York and Chicago.

The only bullshit here is the denial that higher gun ownership rates per capita and less gun laws are where the gun crime rates per capita are the highest.

Apparently not his feet. The chances of some creep attempting to snatch your children right in front of you seem slim.

WRONG.

First of all, per country stats are VERY different from per city/state stats. I'm looking at the overall picture. Whereas, you're splitting hairs and grasping at straws over minute details that don't make a big difference, not to mention how one minute you're talking about crime rate stats and then in the same post, you start talking about gun crime rate stats. And while despite being related, you act like they're the same thing.

And the only one here changing their posts to suit their argument is YOU. Read your own posts. Whereas, I've been stating almost exactly the same god damn thing. And here it is AGAIN:

10 Pro-Gun Myths, Shot Down
Fact-checking some of the gun lobby's favorite arguments shows they're full of holes.(and shit)

By cutting off federal funding for research and stymieing data collection and sharing, the National Rifle Association has tried to do to the study of gun violence what climate deniers have done to the science of global warming. No wonder: When it comes to hard numbers, some of the gun lobby's favorite arguments are full of holes.

Myth #1: They're coming for your guns.

Fact-check: No one knows the exact number of guns in America, but it's clear there's no practical way to round them all up (never mind that no one in Washington is proposing this). Yet if you fantasize about rifle-toting citizens facing down the government, you'll rest easy knowing that America's roughly 80 million gun owners already have the feds and cops outgunned by a factor of around 79 to 1.

Myth #2: Guns don't kill people—people kill people.
Fact-check: People with more guns tend to kill more people—with guns. The states with the highest gun ownership rates have a gun murder rate 114% higher than those with the lowest gun ownership rates. Also, gun death rates tend to be higher in states with higher rates of gun ownership. Gun death rates are generally lower in states with restrictions such as assault-weapons bans or safe-storage requirements.

Myth #3: An armed society is a polite society.

Fact-check: Drivers who carry guns are 44% more likely than unarmed drivers to make obscene gestures at other motorists, and 77% more likely to follow them aggressively.
• Among Texans convicted of serious crimes, those with concealed-handgun licenses were sentenced for threatening someone with a firearm 4.8 times more than those without.
• In states with Stand Your Ground and other laws making it easier to shoot in self-defense, those policies have been linked to a 7 to 10% increase in homicides.

Ricin letter to Bloomberg spoke of 'what I've got planned for you,' source says

A letter to New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg that tested positive for the deadly poison ricin also contained a dark warning to anyone who comes to “get my guns” and directly threatened the mayor, a source told NBC News on Thursday.

According to the source, the letter warned: “You will have to kill me and my family before you get my guns.” It concluded with the line: “What’s in this letter is nothing compared to what I’ve got planned for you.”....

Apparently, many gun chumps are nothing but cowardly wannabe terrorists. People who hide behind their guns are lame-ass pussies and cowards.

Myth #4: More good guys with guns can stop rampaging bad guys.

Fact-check: Mass shootings stopped by armed civilians in the past 30 years: 0
• Chances that a shooting at an ER involves guns taken from guards: 1 in 5

The above fact is superfluous to gun ownership and or defending oneself.
Case in point recently in southwest Oregon , due to budget constraints a reduction of police coverage has taken place, this is a large county, and prior to when a gal was assaulted and raped, she called 911 the tape was on tv, they could not respond, had she had a gun it is very possible she would not have been raped. These are the things that an uninformed anti gun zealot such as your self overlooks.

What if's, possibilities and maybes aren't facts. The statistical numgbers speak for themselves. States with the highest gun ownerships per capita have the highest gun crime rates per capita...
